The song also heavily sampled the Bill Conti song "Going the Distance",which featured on the soundtrack to the movie Rocky making it a darker start to a rap album that featured many club-standard singles. This song featured the last verses recorded by The Notorious B.I.G. before his 1997 death as these verses were recorded a day before his shooting. The song was used for the EA Sports video game,Fight Night 2004,and the 2K Sports video game,NBA 2K13 by Puff Daddy and the Family featuring The Notorious B.I.G. and Busta Rhymes. This was re-used for the soundtrack of NBA 2K18. It was also used on professional wrestling,for Masahiro Chono's Team 2000 faction in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Chase &Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). In addition,Andy Gangadeen is the drummer when the band performs live. MC Rage formerly assisted the group when they perform,but left in July 2021 to focus on solo ventures. The duo are from London,and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released five studio albums as well as collaborating with major artists such as Plan B,CeeLo Green,Rihanna,Example,and Tinie Tempah. They run the independent record label MTA Records.

It is a sequel to the single "I Need a Girl ",released a few months prior. The song includes guest appearances from Ginuwine,Loon,Mario Winans and Tammy Ruggeri. It was written by Sean Combs,Chauncey Hawkins,Mario Winans,Frankie Romano,Michael Carlos Jones and Adonis Shropshire and produced by Mario Winans and Diddy. The single peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart,tying with "Count On Me" as their highest-charting single to date. The chorus of the song also features vocals performed by Yolanda Quartey. The "sweet sensation" line is sampled from Loleatta Holloway's 1980 disco hit "Love Sensation". "Blind Faith" is featured on the soundtrack of the racing video games Dirt 3 and Forza Horizon. The song was used by BBC Sport during its coverage of the 2013 World Athletics Championships.
