Agent Hamilton is a Swedish spy thriller television series loosely based on the Carl Hamilton novels book series by Jan Guillou about Swedish secret agent Carl Hamilton. Norwegian actor Jakob Oftebro plays the title role. The spy thriller is set in the present time, with scenes from around Europe.
The series was presented at the MIPCOM in Cannes in 2019. The first season consisted of 10 episodes and began airing on 1 January 2020. The second season had eight episodes and began airing on 18 April 2022.
Hamilton has just returned to Stockholm as a series of cyberattacks and bombings are occurring. An ex-member, he is engaged by the Swedish Security Service (SÄPO) to identify the attack source. Involving various locations, Hamilton is concerned about multinational business interests creating a new Cold War. [1] The Russian, Swedish, and American intelligence services are also involved.
Compared to the earlier Carl Hamilton adaptations, smartphones were introduced, as well as changing the ideological power plays. [2]
Filming was done in 2019 in Lithuania by DramaCorp and Kärnfilm. [3] [4]
Agent Hamilton premiered on Nordic C More Entertainment on 1 January 2020, followed by Sweden TV4. [5] The series was also presold to SBS Australia and aired on 25 March 2020, in English with occasional subtitles. It has also been picked up by Norway TV2, Denmark DR, and Finland MTV3. [2] The series is also being aired by the Belgian Canvas (TV channel) as of March 2021.

Jan Oskar Sverre Lucien Henri Guillou is a French-Swedish author and journalist. Guillou's fame in Sweden was established during his time as an investigative journalist, most notably in 1973 when he and co-reporter Peter Bratt exposed a secret and illegal intelligence organization in Sweden, Informationsbyrån (IB). He is still active within journalism as a column writer for the Swedish evening tabloid Aftonbladet. Among his books are a series of spy fiction novels about a spy named Carl Hamilton, and a trilogy(+) of historical fiction novels about a Knight Templar, Arn Magnusson. He is the owner of one of the largest publishing companies in Sweden, Piratförlaget, together with his wife, publisher Ann-Marie Skarp, and Liza Marklund.

Stig Svante Eugén Bergling, later Stig Svante Eugén Sandberg and Stig Svante Eugén Sydholt, was a Swedish Security Service officer who spied for the Soviet Union. The Stig Bergling-affair, one of Sweden's greatest spy scandals, began when he was arrested in Israel in 1979 by Israeli counterintelligence and in the same year in Sweden was sentenced to life imprisonment for aggravated espionage. He escaped in 1987, with the assistance of his then–wife Elisabeth Sjögren during a conjugal visit, and fled to Moscow. Bergling's escape was a major embarrassment for Sweden's liberal prison system and prompted the resignation of the justice minister.

"Jane" Ebba Charlotta Horney, was a Swedish woman, believed to have spied in Denmark for the benefit of Nazi Germany, and to have been killed by the Danish resistance movement on a fishing boat at Øresund, but it has never been confirmed for which nation she actually worked. The Gestapo in Denmark believed that she was an agent for the British or Soviet Union, and after World War II it was denied that she had been a Gestapo agent. Abwehr officers likewise denied, when asked by Säpo, that she had been their agent.

"Eye Spy" is the fourth episode of the first season of the American television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Based on the Marvel Comics organization S.H.I.E.L.D., it follows Phil Coulson and his team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as they investigate a series of diamond thefts committed by a former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and acknowledges the franchise's films. The episode was written by co-showrunner Jeffrey Bell and directed by Roxann Dawson.

It was produced by Monster Scripted for the Norwegian broadcaster NRK and was broadcast under the title Nobel – fred for enhver pris.
