Ahmed Salah Abdou Nada (Arabic : أحمد صلاح عبده ندا; born 6 December 1986), also known as Ahmed Salah Abdou or Ahmed Nada, is an Egyptian swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. [1] He represented his nation Egypt at the 2008 Summer Olympics, finishing among the top 60 swimmers in the men's 100 m butterfly.

Nada competed for the Egyptian swimming team in the men's 100 m butterfly at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He charged his way to the top of the field in 54.48 to clear the FINA-B cut (54.70) by about two tenths of a second (0.2) at the Pan Arab Games one year earlier in Cairo. [2] Swimming in heat two, Nada fought off a sprint challenge against Saudi Arabia's Bader Al-Muhana on the final lap, until both touched the wall in a matching fifth-place time in 55.59. Sharing a tie with Al-Muhana for sixty-first overall in the prelims, Nada did not advance to the semifinals. [3]

He set an Estonian record of 1:27.06, as a relay swimmer, in the 4×50 m freestyle at the 2008 European Short Course Swimming Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. Haustov is also a member of Kohtla-Järve Water Sport Club in Tallinn, and is coached and trained by Aleksandr Abel.

Elizabeth Mary Coster is a New Zealand former swimmer, who specialises in backstroke and butterfly events. She helped the New Zealand team to pull off a fourth-place effort and broke a New Zealand record of 4:06.30 in the medley relay at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia.

Sotirios Pastras is a Greek former swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. He is a multiple-time Greek champion and record holder in the butterfly. Pastras is a computer engineering graduate at University of Thessaly, and is currently a member of Nova Club in Volos, under the tutelage of his personal coach Nikolaos Prantzos.

Onur Uras is a Turkish Olympic swimmer who specialized in the butterfly stroke. He is a four-time Turkish national champion, and a member of Galatasaray Swimming Club in Istanbul, under his head coach Yilmaz Ozuak. Uras is also a former varsity swimmer for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and a graduate of industrial engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is an Indian record holder in the 100 m butterfly, until it was eventually broken by his fellow swimmer Virdhawal Khade at the 2009 Asia Age Group Championships in Tokyo, Japan. He also attended Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio, where he was a multiple-time All-American and a three-time YMCA national finalist.

Vitaly Vasilyev is a Kyrgyzstani swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a two-time Olympian, and a former Kyrgyzstan record holder in the 50 and 100 m freestyle.

A lone swimmer at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a graduate of King Faisal School in his hometown Riyadh, Al-Muhana swam for the Indiana Hoosiers throughout most of his college career, while pursuing international business studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Eduardo Germán Otero is an Argentine former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke and butterfly events. He is a three-time Olympian, a multiple-time national record holder, and a two-time champion for the 50 m backstroke at the South American Games.
