Air Service Plus was a low cost airline based in Pescara, Abruzzo, Italy. It operated services to destinations in Europe. Flights are currently operated by Axis Airways, a French airline. Its main base is Abruzzo International Airport, Pescara. [1]

History

The airline began operating low-fare flights connecting Pescara to Paris (Charles de Gaulle International Airport) in 2003, then to Brussels (Brussels South Charleroi Airport) in 2004. During 2005, Air Service Plus started new routes from Pescara to Zürich and from Perugia to Paris. As of 2005, Air Service Plus had carried more than 65,000 passengers, making Pescara and the Abruzzo Region well known amongst French and Belgian tourists. It can be considered as an outstanding example of cooperation between Regions and private investors to develop tourism to less famous destinations.[ citation needed ]

Albatros Airways Sh.p.k was a low-cost airline based in Tirana in Albania. It flew to destinations in Italy using Fokker 100 aircraft. Its main base was Rinas Mother Teresa Airport (TIA), Tirana. On 1 September 2006 the airline was grounded, only with one phone call on 31 August 2006, by the Albanian aviation authorities because of unpaid airport and air traffic control fees.

Hellas Jet was a charter airline based in Athens, Greece, operating services to Greece from destinations in Europe. Its main base was Athens International Airport. Hellas Jet was a licensed scheduled and charter carrier, holding a JAA AOC and a Line Maintenance Certificate under JAA/EASA Part 145, both approved by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority. It ceased operations in 2010 due to economic difficulties. The repossession of two of their Airbus A320 aircraft, 87 and 88, was documented on Discovery channel TV programme Airplane Repo. The company slogan was More than a flight.
