The Ajax Business Associates (ABA) is an organisation linked to AFC Ajax football club, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. [1] [2]

The group is independent of the club and consists of a variety of members. With the public being the driving force behind the association, the ABA is the business club of Ajax, the organization contribute to Ajax affairs, as well as help the various corporate endorsers of the club to communicate and collaborate in order to assist in reaching the goals of the club. Founded in 1991 the ABA has been registered in the Chamber of Commerce (V53735) since its inception. The organization also has strong ties to the other supporter clubs of Ajax, namely the SVA and the AFCA Supportersclub. For a small price members of the ABA may also make use the clubs' amenities and luxury suites at the Amsterdam ArenA, reserved for ABA members. [3]

Events

Since 21 February 1997, the ABA hold their own rooming and seating in the ArenA, including the ABA club and lounge, which can be reserved by the members of the ABA to host events. [4] [5] The ABA is also responsible for organizing all travel to National and International away matches of Ajax for its business associates. [6] The ABA also publish a bi-monthly journal called the ABA-Today which is mailed to all is subscribers and members of the ABA. The journal is a magazine with articles surrounding events and on-goings of the club and its supporters. Events surrounding the undertakings of the ABA are highlighted and advertising in the magazine is possible. [7] [8]

The ABA is also responsible for organizing the annual Ajax Business Golf Trophy, an amateur golf tournament that has seen several past and active Ajax players participate against prominent Dutch figures and ABA members. [9] ABA member Harry Kunst won the first edition of the tournament. [10]

Halte Amsterdam ArenA (Asdar) is a single rail train halt in the Bijlmermeer neighbourhood of stadsdeel (borough) Amsterdam-Zuidoost in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Situated right at the Johan Cruyff Arena, a football stadium which was previously known as the Amsterdam Arena, the station is specially built for supporter trains deployed during football matches that are considered high risk to the public, such as when local football club AFC Ajax face either Feyenoord, FC Utrecht, PSV or ADO Den Haag. In away matches supporters arrive and depart via this rail station. Regular attendants of the Ajax matches usually arrive via either the Duivendrecht station or the Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. Many away supporters also commonly arrive at the stadium by bus as well.

He was a well known supporter of the association football club AFC Ajax, and a member of the hooligan firm F-side. He is also the creator of the A.F.C.A clothing brand.

Although they are separated groups, there is cooperation between them. This is especially the case during riots, the AFCA firm then consists of a mix with members from all of the groups, and they operate as one firm: the AFCA firm.

On 22 October 1989 during an association football match, two home-made nail bombs were thrown by a Feyenoord hooligan at De Meer Stadion, the home ground of AFC Ajax in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The explosions injured 19 people.
