South Crew was founded on 26 August 2007 by hardcore supporters of the club who wanted to help create more atmosphere in the stadiums south end. The group occupied the Zuid-1 and Zuid-2 stands of the Amsterdam ArenA from where they raise massive banners at the beginning of Ajax home matches. [3] Although the group commonly work together with the likes of VAK410 to coordinate much larger spectacles in the stands, due to their close proximity in the stadium, the South Crew do however distance themselves from the hooligan activities of VAK410, as the South Crew restrict their actions to choreography and atmosphere in the stadium and do not partake in the violent clashes as the other Ultras do before and after the games. [4] The South Crew and the North Up Alliance are also the two groups at Ajax responsible for the graffiti pieces that are found inside the tunnels of the Amsterdam Arena, from the players entrance to the locker rooms. [5] The South Crew also organize the South Crew Lottery giving away prizes to the winners, in order to fund the operation and the construction of the massive banners. [6] [7] Known as one of the most popular Tifosi groups in the Netherlands, often finding themselves in Dutch press for the manner in which they present their statements, the South Crew also collaborate with AFC Ajax, Axion and the City of Amsterdam in the annual Ajax Campus initiative. With Ajax Campus, club representatives and members of the South Crew visit various school campuses in and around Amsterdam, teaching children (ages 14–17) how to create banners, which in turn are then displayed in the stands of the South Crew during one of the home matches of Ajax each season. Halte Amsterdam ArenA (Asdar) is a single rail train halt in the Bijlmermeer neighbourhood of stadsdeel (borough) Amsterdam-Zuidoost in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Situated right at the Johan Cruyff Arena, a football stadium which was previously known as the Amsterdam Arena, the station is specially built for supporter trains deployed during football matches that are considered high risk to the public, such as when local football club AFC Ajax face either Feyenoord, FC Utrecht, PSV or ADO Den Haag. In away matches supporters arrive and depart via this rail station. Regular attendants of the Ajax matches usually arrive via either the Duivendrecht station or the Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA station. Many away supporters also commonly arrive at the stadium by bus as well.
The World of Ajax is a museum and stadium tour dedicated to AFC Ajax' club history in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. The museum, located at the Johan Cruyff Arena, was opened on 14 August 1996 and is open daily for tours. There are two versions of the tour which involve different parts and elements of the Stadium and environment, namely the World of Ajax and the World of Ajax Kids Tour, one for children and one for the adults.

The Fireworks incident was a case of football hooliganism which took place on Easter Sunday, 20 April 2014 in De Kuip, Rotterdam, during the KNVB Cup final match between AFC Ajax and PEC Zwolle. Mass amounts of fireworks, flares and smoke bombs were launched into the penalty box around Ajax goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer in the early minutes of the match, which had been thrown onto the pitch by the Ajax hooligan firm VAK410 twice in the early build up of the game. After a 30 minute recess in which marketing director Edwin van der Sar addressed the crowd, Ajax would go on to lose the match 5–1 to Zwolle.
