The tenth season of Akademi Fantasia , also branded as AF2013, premiered on 14 September 2013 and concluded on 17 November 2013 on the Astro Ria television channel. The season introduced Zizan Razak as host along with the new judging panel, Edry Abdul Halim, Sharifah Amani and Roslan Aziz.
This season is used a new format and different from previous seasons of Akademi Fantasia, this season is searching a new singing talent, both solo and duo, in Malaysia. Apart from that, this season are open to Singaporean. Unlike previous season which used Principle as head trainers, this season have "Inspirer", which include Faizal Tahir (Week 1–3), Melly Goeslaw (Week 4–6) and Siti Nurhaliza (Week 7–10).
On 17 November 2013, Mohd Faizul Sany from Tawau, Sabah was announced as the season's winner and male duo, Azhael was the runner-up.
Auditions were held in the following cities:
-Candidates are free to sing any genre of song.
-Participants also can submit their entries online by submit the link of their video (which has been uploaded into YouTube) via AF2013's Official Website.
-Contestants were required to be between the ages of 18 and 35, and are Malaysian and Singaporean citizens.

Dato' Sri Hajah Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin is a Malaysian singer, songwriter, actress and businesswoman with more than 300 local and international awards. She made her debut after she won a local singing competition show, Bintang HMI in 1995 when she was 16. Her debut single, Jerat Percintaan, won the 11th Anugerah Juara Lagu and another two awards for Best Performance and Best Ballad. Her debut album as of 2005 has sold more than 800,000 units in Malaysia. She has recorded and sung in multiple languages, including Malaysian, Javanese, English, Arabic, Japanese, and Mandarin.
Akademi Fantasia is Malaysia's first reality television show in which a number of contestants called students compete for the winning title and a chance to start their career in the entertainment industry. The first season premiered on 3 June 2003 and was one of Astro Ria's highest rated shows. The theme song entitled "Menuju Puncak" was performed by Juwita Suwito, who is the sister of the composer, Aubrey Suwito.
Jaclyn Joshua Thanaraj Victor is a Malaysian singer, actress and businesswoman who won the inaugural Malaysian Idol, Ikon Malaysia, Gegar Vaganza Season 9 & Gegar Vaganza All Stars. As the winner of Malaysian Idol, she won a recording contract with Sony BMG Music Entertainment. She represented Malaysia in the first Asian Idol and Ikon Asean. She has been dubbed "Asia's Divette" for her vocal prowess and a legend in Malaysia.
The sixth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 22 March 2008 and concluded on 24 May 2008 on the Astro Ria television channel. Fauziah Ahmad Daud returned as a judge and was joined by new judge Ning Baizura, who replaced Hattan and Fauziah Latif. The season introduced AC Mizal as host, replacing Aznil Nawawi. The promotional catchphrase of this season is "Bring Out The Superstar Talent In You".
The fifth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 17 March 2007 and ran until 19 May 2007. The season was joined by new judges, Fauziah Latiff, Hattan and Fauziah Ahmad Daud, who replaced Adlin Aman Ramlie, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host for his fifth season. On 19 May 2007, Norsyarmilla Jirin from Penang was crowned the winner of the fifth season of Akademi Fantasia, making her the first female winner, defeating runner-up Ebi Kornelis @ Firdaus Yaimal. This season also featured Aizat Amdan, who would subsequently become the overall winner of 2009 and 2012 Anugerah Juara Lagu.
The fourth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 3 June 2006. The season introduced Adlin Aman Ramlie as a replacement for Kudsia Kahar, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host once again. On 5 August 2006, a native of Marang, Terengganu, Mohammad Faizal Ramly won the season, defeating runner-up Lotter P. Edwin Edin. Faizal remained the last male winner until the seventh season.
The third season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 4 June 2005. Kudsia Kahar continued to judge the show's contestants, along with Aznil Nawawi as host. Asmawi Ani, a native of FELDA Taib Andak, Kulai, Johor, was announced the winner of the competition on 7 August 2005, defeating runner-up Felix Agus.
Ummu Shaikhah Stacy binti Anam, known professionally by the mononym Stacy, is a Malaysian singer, songwriter and producer who rose to fame after winning the sixth season of Akademi Fantasia, receiving 43% of over 3.8 million votes. Her debut album, Aku Stacy, was released on 9 March 2009. She also known as the Dancing Queen of Malaysia. As a composer and lyricist, she is known as Bunga Cantik.
The seventh season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 9 March 2009 and continued until 16 May 2009 on the Astro Ria television channel. AC Mizal continued to host the show, while Adlin Aman Ramlie, Edry Hashim and Khatijah Hashim joined the judging panel following the departures of Fauziah Ahmad Daud and Ning Baizura. The promotional catch phrase of this season is "Bring Out Your Self-Transformation".
The first season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 9 June 2003 and continued until 9 August 2003, on the Astro Ria television channel. It was won by Vincent Chong Ying-Chern, who defeated Mohammad Khairul Nizam Mohammad Wahi.
The eighth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 13 March 2010 and continued until 22 May 2010 on the Astro Ria television channel. The show underwent a number of changes from the seventh season, including the return Adlin Aman Ramlie as judge while Aznil Nawawi joined the judging panel following the departures of Khatijah Ibrahim and Edry Hashim.
Malaysian singer Siti Nurhaliza has sold an estimated six million records throughout Asia during her career. Within five years, the sales for her first six albums have already reached 1 million units in the Malaysian market and another 500,000 units from the Indonesian market. Dato' Siti Nurhaliza Unplugged 2015 was a concert by Malaysian recording artist, Siti Nurhaliza. It was held on 7 April 2015 at Istana Budaya and marked her twentieth year in the Malaysian music industry. Almost all the songs performed during this one-night concert were from her own repertoire, covering her hits and popular songs from the beginning of her career to more recent ones.
The twelfth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2015, premiered on 3 August 2015 and concluded on 11 October 2015 on the Astro Ria television channel. Zizan Razak and Faizal Ismail continued to host the show once again, while Ramli M.S. returned as a judge and Rozita Che Wan joined the judging panel.
Unplugged is a live album by Malaysian recording artist Siti Nurhaliza. It was released in multiple formats, both physical and digital in Malaysia on 30 June 2015. The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". All were recorded specifically to accompany the three audio releases.
The thirteenth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2016, premiered on 21 August 2016 and concluded on 9 October 2016 on the Astro Ria television channel. Zizan Razak returned as host along with his new partner, Alif Satar, while Ramli M.S. continued to judge and AC Mizal joined the judging panel following the departure of Rozita Che Wan.
"Dirgahayu" (Perpetuity) is a duet single by Malaysian artists, Faizal Tahir and Siti Nurhaliza, released on 12 August 2016. It was released to serve as a theme song for a 100-episode Malaysian television series, Lara Aishah. Co-written by Faizal himself, it was recorded in July 2016 before it was released a month later.
"Inspirasi" (Inspiration) is a duet sung by Malaysian artists, Hafiz Suip and Faizal Tahir, released on 25 August 2015. The song is a special project between Era FM and Raku, a music streaming service under Astro. It was composed specifically as a tribute to Siti Nurhaliza for her achievements in the Malaysian music industry for more than 20 years. Co-written by Faizal Tahir, the song is only available for listening on Era FM and Raku.
