The fourth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 3 June 2006. The season introduced Adlin Aman Ramlie as a replacement for Kudsia Kahar, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host once again. On 5 August 2006, a native of Marang, Terengganu, Mohammad Faizal Ramly won the season, defeating runner-up Lotter P. Edwin Edin. Faizal remained the last male winner until the seventh season.
As much as 20 short-listed contestants were revealed in Tirai Akademi Fantasia, which was aired on 20 May 2006. However, all contestants were required to perform in the Prelude Concert in order to determine the final 12 contestants who would move on to the main competition in which 10 contestants would be chosen by the jury and the remaining two contestants by the audience's votes.
The weekly concerts were held in MBPJ Civic Hall while the final concert was held in Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil. This season also witnessed an elimination of a student in the first concert, an Akademi Fantasia first. The entire season attracted as much as 7.4 million votes. [1] [2] [3]

Singapore Idol was a Singaporean reality television singing competition produced by MediaCorp Studios and FremantleMedia Operations BV. It began airing on MediaCorp Channel 5 on 9 August 2004 until 27 December 2009, as an addition to the Idol franchise based on the British show Pop Idol, and became one of the most popular shows in the history of Singaporean television.
American Idol Extra is a television show that was shown on the Fox Reality Channel and Star! and billed as "the show that picks up right where American Idol leaves off". The program featured the first full-length interview with the most recent eliminated contestant and various behind-the-scenes material.
Top Design is an American reality television series. Interior designers competed to win cash and receive a spot in New York's Designer showcases. The first season premiered on January 31, 2007, following the season finale of Top Chef. Todd Oldham was the host, while famed potter and interior designer Jonathan Adler was lead judge. Kelly Wearstler and Margaret Russell also served as judges. Matt Lorenz was declared the winner. Although the first season received poor ratings, Bravo decided to air a second season starting September 3, 2008, with India Hicks as host and Oldham serving in the role of mentor, similar to Tim Gunn on Project Runway. Adler, Wearstler, and Russell returned as judges.
Britain's Next Top Model, Cycle 2 was the second cycle of Britain's Next Top Model and the second series aired on LIVINGtv.
Gerak Khas is a Malaysian police procedural television drama series broadcast on TV2 and TV3. The series follows the crime-fighting efforts of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), led by SAC Datuk Helmi, from murders to terrorism and many other crimes committed in Malaysia. Gerak Khas ran from April 5, 1999 until March 27, 2021, spanning 20 seasons and 1054 episodes, making it the longest-running primetime drama series on Malaysian television.
One in a Million is Malaysia's first ever reality singing competition to offer a RM 1 million prize to the winner. The second season began on 16 November 2007, resuming to its former timeslot at 9:30 pm on 8TV. The season had been marred by a restriction imposed on 8TV against airing live telecasts, as a result of season one's runner-up Faizal Tahir breaching the decency code during 8TV's birthday concert on mid-January 2008. Nevertheless, the show went on and on 29 February 2008, in a Grand Finale which was aired delayed by 30 minutes from Shah Alam, Sabahan Norayu Damit became the overall champion and new owner of RM1,000,000 as funding for a musical career.
The sixth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 22 March 2008 and concluded on 24 May 2008 on the Astro Ria television channel. Fauziah Ahmad Daud returned as a judge and was joined by new judge Ning Baizura, who replaced Hattan and Fauziah Latif. The season introduced AC Mizal as host, replacing Aznil Nawawi. The promotional catchphrase of this season is "Bring Out The Superstar Talent In You".
The fifth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 17 March 2007 and ran until 19 May 2007. The season was joined by new judges, Fauziah Latiff, Hattan and Fauziah Ahmad Daud, who replaced Adlin Aman Ramlie, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host for his fifth season. On 19 May 2007, Norsyarmilla Jirin from Penang was crowned the winner of the fifth season of Akademi Fantasia, making her the first female winner, defeating runner-up Ebi Kornelis @ Firdaus Yaimal. This season also featured Aizat Amdan, who would subsequently become the overall winner of 2009 and 2012 Anugerah Juara Lagu.
The second season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 7 June 2004 and concluded on 14 August 2004 on the Astro Ria television channel. Aznil Nawawi continued as the show's host, while Kudsia Kahar returned as judges. The second season was won by Ahmad Zahid Baharuddin, who defeated Norlinda Nanuwil. This season also featured Kaer Azami, who would subsequently win the 2008 Malaysian Music Awards for Best Song.
The third season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 4 June 2005. Kudsia Kahar continued to judge the show's contestants, along with Aznil Nawawi as host. Asmawi Ani, a native of FELDA Taib Andak, Kulai, Johor, was announced the winner of the competition on 7 August 2005, defeating runner-up Felix Agus.
The seventh season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 9 March 2009 and continued until 16 May 2009 on the Astro Ria television channel. AC Mizal continued to host the show, while Adlin Aman Ramlie, Edry Hashim and Khatijah Hashim joined the judging panel following the departures of Fauziah Ahmad Daud and Ning Baizura. The promotional catch phrase of this season is "Bring Out Your Self-Transformation".
New Zealand's Next Top Model, Season 1 was the first season of New Zealand's Next Top Model which was a reality TV show based on America's Next Top Model. Thirteen young women compete for the title and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The catchphrase for this season is "Our Turn To Turn Heads".
The eighth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 13 March 2010 and continued until 22 May 2010 on the Astro Ria television channel. The show underwent a number of changes from the seventh season, including the return Adlin Aman Ramlie as judge while Aznil Nawawi joined the judging panel following the departures of Khatijah Ibrahim and Edry Hashim.
New Zealand's Next Top Model, Season 3 is the third and final season of New Zealand's Next Top Model which is a reality TV show based on America's Next Top Model. Fourteen young women compete for the title and a chance to start their career in the modeling industry. The prize for this season was a contract with 62 Model Management, a Ford Fiesta, a 1-year contract with CoverGirl cosmetics, a cover and 8-page editorial in CLEO Magazine, there would also be an all expenses paid trip to Paris and London to meet with NEXT Model Management.
The ninth season of Deutschland sucht den Superstar was broadcast on German channel RTL from 7 January to 27 April 2012. Luca Hänni won the series. Jury members Fernanda Brandão and Patrick Nuo left DSDS and were replaced by Bruce Darnell and Cascada's Natalie Horler. As the winner, Luca Hänni received a recording contract with Universal Music Group and €500,000. Participants must be between the ages of 16 and 30 and living in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The auditions stage had 34 audition events in 33 cities across Germany, Austria or Switzerland. 35,401 participants auditioned for season 9. Marco Schreyl will not be returning to host season 10.
The fourth season of Top Chef Masters was announced on May 24, 2012. Food and travel journalist, Krista Simmons, and features editor of Gilt Taste, Francis Lam, join James Oseland and Ruth Reichl as new additions to the judges' table. The season premiered on July 25, 2012 with 12 award-winning chefs competing in weekly challenges to win $100,000 for their charity and the title of Top Chef Master.
The eleventh season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2014, premiered on 1 September 2014 and concluded on 9 November 2014 on the Astro Ria television channel. Ramli M.S. and Raja Azura joined the judging panel.
The fourth season of Project Runway Philippines was announced in September 2014. ETC announced that there will be a fourth season and it will be premiered on June 14, 2015. Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez reprised her role as host from last season. Fashion designer Rajo Laurel and style columnist Apples Aberin returned as judges, while fashion designer Jojie Lloren remained as mentor.
The twelfth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2015, premiered on 3 August 2015 and concluded on 11 October 2015 on the Astro Ria television channel. Zizan Razak and Faizal Ismail continued to host the show once again, while Ramli M.S. returned as a judge and Rozita Che Wan joined the judging panel.
