The eleventh season of Akademi Fantasia , also branded as AF2014, premiered on 1 September 2014 and concluded on 9 November 2014 on the Astro Ria television channel. Ramli M.S. and Raja Azura joined the judging panel.

Contents

On 7 September 2014, during the opening of first concert, Hattan was revealed to be Principal for this season. [1] Zizan Razak returned as a host and at the end of first concert, Faizal Ismail was announced as a co-host., [2] while Jihan Musa was announced as host for Diari Akademi Fantasia. [3]

On 9 November 2014, Mhd Firman Bansir was announced as the season's winner, making the second winner from Tawau, Sabah, defeating Mohd Razman Abd Aziz.

Contestants were required to be between the ages of 18 and 35, and are Malaysian and Singaporean citizens. As a part of conditions made by the principal, Datuk Hattan was there will be no song made from Indonesia allowed to be performed by this year contestants. He said "There are many more local song that can be performed and we should be proud of it". [4] [5]

<i>Akademi Fantasia</i> Malaysian reality television show

Akademi Fantasia is Malaysia's first reality television show in which a number of contestants called students compete for the winning title and a chance to start their career in the entertainment industry. The first season premiered on 3 June 2003 and was one of Astro Ria's highest rated shows. The theme song entitled "Menuju Puncak" was performed by Juwita Suwito, who is the sister of the composer, Aubrey Suwito.

The sixth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 22 March 2008 and concluded on 24 May 2008 on the Astro Ria television channel. Fauziah Ahmad Daud returned as a judge and was joined by new judge Ning Baizura, who replaced Hattan and Fauziah Latif. The season introduced AC Mizal as host, replacing Aznil Nawawi. The promotional catchphrase of this season is "Bring Out The Superstar Talent In You".

The fifth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 17 March 2007 and ran until 19 May 2007. The season was joined by new judges, Fauziah Latiff, Hattan and Fauziah Ahmad Daud, who replaced Adlin Aman Ramlie, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host for his fifth season. On 19 May 2007, Norsyarmilla Jirin from Penang was crowned the winner of the fifth season of Akademi Fantasia, making her the first female winner, defeating runner-up Ebi Kornelis @ Firdaus Yaimal. This season also featured Aizat Amdan, who would subsequently become the overall winner of 2009 and 2012 Anugerah Juara Lagu.

The fourth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 3 June 2006. The season introduced Adlin Aman Ramlie as a replacement for Kudsia Kahar, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host once again. On 5 August 2006, a native of Marang, Terengganu, Mohammad Faizal Ramly won the season, defeating runner-up Lotter P. Edwin Edin. Faizal remained the last male winner until the seventh season.

The second season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 7 June 2004 and concluded on 14 August 2004 on the Astro Ria television channel. Aznil Nawawi continued as the show's host, while Kudsia Kahar returned as judges. The second season was won by Ahmad Zahid Baharuddin, who defeated Norlinda Nanuwil. This season also featured Kaer Azami, who would subsequently win the 2008 Malaysian Music Awards for Best Song.

The third season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 4 June 2005. Kudsia Kahar continued to judge the show's contestants, along with Aznil Nawawi as host. Asmawi Ani, a native of FELDA Taib Andak, Kulai, Johor, was announced the winner of the competition on 7 August 2005, defeating runner-up Felix Agus.

The seventh season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 9 March 2009 and continued until 16 May 2009 on the Astro Ria television channel. AC Mizal continued to host the show, while Adlin Aman Ramlie, Edry Hashim and Khatijah Hashim joined the judging panel following the departures of Fauziah Ahmad Daud and Ning Baizura. The promotional catch phrase of this season is "Bring Out Your Self-Transformation".

The first season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 9 June 2003 and continued until 9 August 2003, on the Astro Ria television channel. It was won by Vincent Chong Ying-Chern, who defeated Mohammad Khairul Nizam Mohammad Wahi.

The eighth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 13 March 2010 and continued until 22 May 2010 on the Astro Ria television channel. Ahmad Shahir bin Zawawi, better known by his stage name Shahir, is a Malaysian singer and actor, who rose to fame after winning the eighth season of Akademi Fantasia.

The ninth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on 2 April 2011 and concluded on 12 June 2011 on the Astro Ria television channel. Aznil Nawawi made a comeback as host along with Fauziah Ahmad Daud and Hattan also made a comeback to judge.

The tenth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2013, premiered on 14 September 2013 and concluded on 17 November 2013 on the Astro Ria television channel. The season introduced Zizan Razak as host along with the new judging panel, Edry Abdul Halim, Sharifah Amani and Roslan Aziz.

Dato' Siti Nurhaliza Unplugged 2015 was a concert by Malaysian recording artist, Siti Nurhaliza. It was held on 7 April 2015 at Istana Budaya and marked her twentieth year in the Malaysian music industry. Almost all the songs performed during this one-night concert were from her own repertoire, covering her hits and popular songs from the beginning of her career to more recent ones.

The twelfth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2015, premiered on 3 August 2015 and concluded on 11 October 2015 on the Astro Ria television channel. <i>Unplugged</i> (Siti Nurhaliza album) 2015 live album by Siti Nurhaliza

Unplugged is a live album by Malaysian recording artist Siti Nurhaliza. It was released in multiple formats, both physical and digital in Malaysia on 30 June 2015. The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". All were recorded specifically to accompany the three audio releases.

Nina Nadira binti Naharuddin, is a Malaysian singer and television host. She is a former contestant of Akademi Fantasia 2014.

The thirteenth season of Akademi Fantasia, also branded as AF2016, premiered on 21 August 2016 and concluded on 9 October 2016 on the Astro Ria television channel. Zizan Razak returned as host along with his new partner, Alif Satar, while Ramli M.S. continued to judge and AC Mizal joined the judging panel following the departure of Rozita Che Wan.

"Dirgahayu" (Perpetuity) is a duet single by Malaysian artists, Faizal Tahir and Siti Nurhaliza, released on 12 August 2016.
