Akash Kumar is an Indian boxer. ^[1] He competed at the 2021 AIBA World Boxing Championships, winning the bronze medal in the bantamweight event. ^[2] He was the only person to win a medal for his country at the 2021 championships. ^{[3] [4]} While competing, his mother's death was kept secret from him. ^{[5] [6]}
