Ala Chaman (Persian : الاچمن‎, also Romanized as A‘lā Chaman and Ālā Chaman)^[1] is a village in Ijrud-e Bala Rural District, in the Central District of Ijrud County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,048, in 233 families.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Ijrud-e Bala Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Ijrud County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 10,025, in 2,342 families. The rural district has 16 villages.

The Central District of Ijrud County is a district (bakhsh) in Ijrud County, Zanjan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 29,319, in 7,351 families. The District has one city: Zarrinabad. The District has three rural districts (dehestan): Golabar Rural District, Ijrud-e Bala Rural District, and Saidabad Rural District.
