Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers,AO,OCC,also known as Sir Gary or Sir Garry Sobers,is a former cricketer who played for the West Indies between 1954 and 1974. A highly skilled bowler,an aggressive batsman and an excellent fielder,he is widely considered to be cricket's greatest ever all-rounder and one of the greatest cricketers of all time.

William Arras Johnston was an Australian cricketer who played in forty Test matches from 1947 to 1955. A left arm pace bowler,as well as a left arm orthodox spinner,Johnston was best known as a spearhead of Don Bradman's undefeated 1948 touring team,well known as "The Invincibles". Johnston headed the wicket-taking lists in both Test and first-class matches on the tour,and was the last Australian to take over 100 wickets on a tour of England. In recognition of his performances,he was named by Wisden as one of its Cricketers of the Year in 1949. The publication stated that "no Australian made a greater personal contribution to the playing success of the 1948 side". Regarded by Bradman as Australia's greatest-ever left-arm bowler,Johnston was noted for his endurance in bowling pace with the new ball and spin when the ball had worn. He became the fastest bowler to reach 100 Test wickets in 1951–52,at the time averaging less than nineteen with the ball. By the end of the season,he had played 24 Tests and contributed 111 wickets. Australia won nineteen and lost only two of these Tests. In 1953,a knee injury forced him to remodel his bowling action,and he became less effective before retiring after aggravating the injury in 1955. In retirement,he worked in sales and marketing,and later ran his own businesses. He had two sons,one of whom became a cricket administrator. Johnston died at the age of 85 on 25 May 2007.
Hugh Trumble was an Australian cricketer who played 32 Test matches as a bowling all-rounder between 1890 and 1904. He captained the Australian team in two Tests,winning both. Trumble took 141 wickets in Test cricket—a world record at the time of his retirement—at an average of 21.78 runs per wicket. He is one of only four bowlers to twice take a hat-trick in Test cricket. Observers in Trumble's day,including the authoritative Wisden Cricketers' Almanack,regarded him as ranking among the great Australian bowlers of the Golden Age of cricket. He was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1897 and the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame,established in 1996,inducted him in 2004.
George Giffen was a cricketer who played for South Australia and Australia. An all-rounder who batted in the middle order and often opened the bowling with medium-paced off-spin,Giffen captained Australia during the 1894–95 Ashes series and was the first Australian to score 10,000 runs and take 500 wickets in first-class cricket. He was inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame on 26 February 2008.
Fazal Mahmood PP,HI was a Pakistani international cricketer. He played in 34 Test matches and took 139 wickets at a bowling average of 24.70. The first Pakistani to pass 100 wickets,he reached the landmark in his 22nd match.
Robert Arnold Lockyer Massie is a former Australian cricketer who played in six Test matches and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) in 1972 and 1973.
Graham Douglas McKenzie –commonly known as "Garth",after the comic strip hero –is an Australian cricketer who played for Western Australia (1960–74),Leicestershire (1969–75),Transvaal (1979–80) and Australia (1961–71) and was a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1965. He succeeded Alan Davidson as Australia's premier fast bowler and was in turn succeeded by Dennis Lillee,playing with both at either end of his career. McKenzie was particularly noted for his muscular physique and ability to take wickets on good batting tracks. His father Eric McKenzie and uncle Douglas McKenzie played cricket for Western Australia. Garth was chosen for the Ashes tour of England in 1961 aged only 20. He made his debut in the Second Test at Lord's,where his 5/37 wrapped up the England innings to give Australia a 5-wicket victory.
Charles George Macartney was an Australian cricketer who played in 35 Test matches between 1907 and 1926. He was known as "The Governor-General" in reference to his authoritative batting style and his flamboyant strokeplay,which drew comparisons with his close friend and role model Victor Trumper,regarded as one of the most elegant batsmen in cricketing history. Sir Donald Bradman—generally regarded as the greatest batsman in history—cited Macartney's dynamic batting as an inspiration in his cricket career.
John Chaloner Alabaster is a former cricketer who played 21 Test matches for New Zealand between 1955 and 1972. A leg-spin bowler,he was the only New Zealander to play in each of the country's first four Test victories. In domestic cricket,he was often partnered at the crease for his provincial side Otago by his younger brother Gren,who bowled off-spin. A schoolteacher,he later served as Rector of Southland Boys' High School in Invercargill.
Robert Smith Cunis played 20 Test matches for New Zealand as a pace bowler between 1964 and 1972,and was later coach of the New Zealand national team from 1987 to 1990. His son Stephen played cricket for Canterbury between 1998 and 2006.
Ernest Raymond Herbert Toshack was an Australian cricketer who played in 12 Tests from 1946 to 1948. A left arm medium paced bowler known for his accuracy and stamina in the application of leg theory,Toshack was a member of Don Bradman's "Invincibles" that toured England in 1948 without being defeated. Toshack reinforced the Australian new ball attack of Ray Lindwall and Keith Miller.
Samuel John Everett Loxton was an Australian cricketer,footballer and politician. Among these three pursuits,his greatest achievements were attained on the cricket field;he played in 12 Tests for Australia from 1948 to 1951. A right-handed all-rounder,Loxton was part of Don Bradman's Invincibles,who went through the 1948 tour of England undefeated,an unprecedented achievement that has never been matched. As well as being a hard-hitting middle-order batsman,Loxton was a right-arm fast-medium swing bowler who liked to aim at the upper bodies of the opposition,and an outfielder with an accurate and powerful throw. After being dropped from the national team,Loxton represented Victoria for seven more seasons before retiring from first-class cricket. He served as an administrator after his playing days were over and spent 24 years as a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly. Up until 1946,Loxton also played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for St Kilda as a forward. In all three arenas,he was known for his energetic approach.
Douglas Thomas Ring was an Australian cricketer who played for Victoria and for Australia in 13 Test matches between 1948 and 1953. In 129 first-class cricket matches,he took 426 wickets bowling leg spin,and he had a top score of 145 runs,which was the only century of his career.
Alan Lloyd Thomson was an Australian cricketer,Australian rules football umpire and school teacher. Thomson,who "bowled off his front leg like a frog in a windmill" played in four Tests and one ODI in the 1970–71 season.
Michael Arthur "Kelly" Seymour was a South African cricketer who played in seven Test matches between 1963 and 1970.
Dayle Robert Hadlee is a New Zealand former cricketer who played in 26 Tests and 11 ODIs from 1969 to 1978. He is the son of Walter Hadlee,the older brother of Sir Richard Hadlee and the younger brother of Barry Hadlee.
Devraj Devendraraj Govindraj is a former fast bowler who played first-class cricket in India from 1964–65 to 1974–75. He toured the West Indies in 1970–71 and England in 1971,but did not play Test cricket. He is the nephew of C. K. Nayudu,India's first test captain.
Kevin Joseph McCarthy is a former cricketer who played first-class cricket for South Australia from 1964-65 to 1972-73.
