Alan T. Martinez is an American politician serving as a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives for the 23rd district. Elected in November 2022,he assumed office on January 1,2023.
Martinez was born in Española,New Mexico. He graduated from Española Valley High School in 1982 and attended Cochise Junior College Cochise College. Martinez earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in education and religion from Southern Arizona Bible College in 1986. [1]
Martinez worked as the manager of Rio Grand Sales from 1988 to 1990. He then served in the New Mexico Department of Veterans' Services for 25 years,including as file clerk,benefits director,policy director,and legislative director. He retired in 2018 as deputy director of the department. [2] [3]

Harry Cornwall Wheeler was an Arizona lawman who was the third captain of the Arizona Rangers,as well as the sheriff of Cochise County,serving from 1912 into 1918. He is known as the lead figure in the illegal mass kidnapping and deportation of some 1200 miners and family members,many of them immigrants,from Bisbee,Arizona to New Mexico in 1917. Beginning on July 12,1917,he took total control of the town of Bisbee,controlling access and running kangaroo courts that deported numerous people.

Before its creation,these environmental duties were shared by the New Mexico Health Department’s Environmental Protection Division and other government agencies. The department has around 650 employees,and covers such areas as environmental health and protection,air quality,occupational health and safety,radiation control,water management and petroleum storage tank management. New Mexico is committed to the protection of public health.

Epifania "Eppie" Archuleta was an American weaver and textile artisan at the annual Spanish Market in Santa Fe,New Mexico. While the more traditional Chimayo and Rio Grande tapestries used diamonds and stripes in their designs. Archuleta specialized in more contemporary woven designs. Archuleta was a recipient of a 1985 National Heritage Fellowship awarded by the National Endowment for the Arts,which is the United States government's highest honor in the folk and traditional arts. She was inducted into the Colorado Women's Hall of Fame in 1997.

Elected in 2020,he assumed office on January 19,2021,and served in office until December 31,2022. He is the co-founder of several organizations,including Moving Arts Española,La Tierra Montessori School for the Arts and Sciences,and Española Pathways Shelter. On April 20,2023,the New Mexico Public Education Commission voted to revoke La Tierra Montessori School for the Arts and Science's charter. He was nominated for the 2019 CNN Hero of the Year.
