The Albania women's national volleyball team is the national team of Albania. It is governed by the Albanian Volleyball Federation and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
The team won at the 1987 Mediterranean Games in Syria. Winning in Volleyball at the 1987 Mediterranean Games the golden medal. Winning all of their 5 matches and losing two sets against Italy 3-1 and against Greece winning with 3-1. The team would beat Turkey and Lebanon with 3-0 set wins. [1]

Albania women's national volleyball team would participate once in their history, for the Women's European Volleyball Championship in 1991 Women's European Volleyball Championship where they were drawn in Pool A in the preliminary round. They faced as their opponent's Soviet Union, Italy, Bulgaria, France and Greece. They lost all off their Matches in this pool and couldn't advance further in this Tournament. [2]
In the same year they participated at the Mediterranean Games in 1991 finishing their campaign in the 4th place. After losing to Greece in the Third place match with 0-3 missing close on their second medal, it would be their last time that they qualify for the Medal ranking match. [3]
Albania national team participated in the 2018 Women's European Volleyball League. They were shorted in Pool B of silver league along with Austria, Israel and Georgia. Albania started with a 3–0 win versus Georgia on 20 May 2018. [4] Later on 2 June, Albania defeated Austria 3–2 after a long fierce game, in which they lost the first two sets, before winning the next two; the match went to the final set where Albania won 15–11. [5] Four days later, the team clinched a spot in the semi-final by winning 3–0 versus Georgia. [6] [7]
Albania lost 0–3 to Sweden in the semi-final, before defeating Estonia in the 3rd place match, winning an unforeseen bronze medal. [8]

Olympiacos Men's Volleyball, commonly referred to as Olympiacos, Olympiacos Piraeus or with its full name as Olympiacos SFP, is the men's professional volleyball department of the major Greek multi-sport club, Olympiacos SFP, based in Piraeus, Attica. The department was founded in 1926 and their home ground is the Melina Merkouri Indoor Hall in Agios Ioannis Rentis, Piraeus.

Julio Velasco is an Argentine former professional volleyball player and coach. He obtained Italian citizenship in 1992. Velasco was inducted into the Volleyball Hall of Fame in 2005. He is the head coach of the Italy women's national volleyball team, which he led to the Gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Naz Aydemir Akyol is a Turkish volleyball player. She plays as a setter for Eczacıbaşı Dynavit and the Turkey women's national volleyball team. She has won a total of nine Turkish League championships, four with Vakıfbank, three with Eczacıbaşı and two with Fenerbahçe. She has four CEV Champions League championships, winning three with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She also has three FIVB Club World Championship, winning two with Vakıfbank and one with Fenerbahçe. She was part of the Turkey national team at the 2012 and 2020 Summer Olympics.
Maja Ognjenović is a Serbian professional volleyball player of the Serbia women's national volleyball team and a two-time Olympic medalist. She is a four-time Olympian at the setter position. Ognjenović won gold with the national team at the 2018 World Championship, and the 2011/2019 edition of the European Championship, silver at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, and bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.

The 2010 Men's European Volleyball League was the seventh edition of the annual Men's European Volleyball League, which featured men's national volleyball teams from eight European countries: Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Turkey.[1] A preliminary league round was played from June 4 to July 11, and the final four tournament was held at the Polideportivo Aguas Vivas hall, in Guadalajara, Spain, on July 16 and 17.[2]
The Women's European Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV). The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1975 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Turkey, which won its first title at the 2023 tournament.
Zhu Ting is a professional Chinese volleyball player. She is an outside hitter and former captain of the China women's national volleyball team. Currently, she plays for Italian club Imoco Volley Conegliano.

Nina Brunner is a Swiss professional beach volleyball player who plays as a right side defender with her partner Tanja Hüberli. She is a two-time European Champion, winning the title in 2021 and 2023, the silver medallist at the 2018 and 2022 European Championships, and the bronze medalist at the 2024 Summer Olympics. With her former partner Nicole Eiholzer, she won the gold medal at the first ever European Games in 2015. Alongside Hüberli, Betschart has won combined total of 1 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals on FIVB World Tour and its successor Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour. Betschart / Hüberli team represented Switzerland at the 2020 Summer Olympics where they finished in ninth place and played a pivotal role at their country's triumph in the women's event of the inaugural CEV Beach Volleyball Nations Cup in 2022. They achieved a career-high World ranking of No. 2 in November 2021.

The 2019–20 CEV Challenge Cup was the 40th edition of the CEV Challenge Cup tournament. 40 teams from 28 countries were participating in the competition. The tournament has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Krista Vansant is a volleyball player and coach who played collegiately for Washington. In 2022, she was the assistant coach for the University of Illinois volleyball team after spending 3 seasons as an assistant coach at Indiana.
