Anja Sofia Tess Pärson is a Swedish former alpine skier. She is an Olympic gold medalist, seven-time gold medalist at the World Championships, and two-time overall Alpine Skiing World Cup champion. This included winning three gold medals in the 2007 World Championship in her native Sweden. She has won a total of 42 World Cup races.
Vanessa-Mae, also called Vanessa-Mae Vanakorn Nicholson, is a British violinist with album sales reaching several million, having made her the wealthiest entertainer under 30 in the United Kingdom in 2006. She competed under the name Vanessa Vanakorn for Thailand in alpine skiing at the 2014 Winter Olympics. She was initially banned from skiing by the International Ski Federation (FIS) after participating in a qualifying race allegedly organised to enable her to qualify for the Winter Olympics. An appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport led to the ban being nullified, citing lack of evidence for her own wrongdoing or any manipulation. The FIS later issued an apology to her.

The United States Virgin Islands (USVI) sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics held in Sochi, Russia from 7–23 February 2014. This marked the return of the Virgin Islands to the Winter Olympics after missing the 2010 edition, and was their sixth time competing at a Winter Olympic Games. The USVI team consisted of one athlete in alpine skiing, Jasmine Campbell. She finished 56th in the giant slalom and 43rd in the slalom.
The West African country of Togo competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, held from 7 to 23 February 2014. It was the nation's first appearance at the Winter Olympics. The Togolese delegation consisted of two women athletes in two sports: Alessia Afi Dipol in alpine skiing and Mathilde-Amivi Petitjean in cross-country skiing. Petitjean was the flag bearer for the opening ceremony, while Dipol was the flag bearer for the closing ceremony. Neither athlete was able to secure a medal in their Olympic debut.

San Marino sent a delegation to compete at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia from 7 to 23 February 2014. This was the country's ninth appearance and the first time a woman was representing the nation at the Winter Olympics. The delegation consisted of three officials and two competitors, alpine skiers Vincenzo Michelotti and Federica Selva. Both of them took part in giant slalom races and were unranked in the competition. Michelotti was disqualified and Selva could not finish her race.
Mathilde-Amivi Petitjean is a French-Togolese cross-country skier. She competed for Togo at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the 10 km classical race. Petitjean finished in 68th place in her only race out of 75 competitors, nearly ten minutes behind the winner Justyna Kowalczyk of Poland. Petitjean hopes that her appearance will help to inspire the youth of Africa to participate in winter sports.

Karolina Chrapek is an alpine skier representing Poland. She competed for Poland at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the alpine skiing events. She finished 17th in the combined, 33rd in the downhill and giant slalom, and failed to finish the slalom and super-G. She also competed at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2011 and 2013. In 2011, she finished 20th in the super combined, 33rd in the slalom and 34th in the super-G, while in 2013 she finished 27th in the super combined. Chrapek also competed at the 2013 Winter Universiade, where she finished second in the super-G and third in the downhill.
Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel is a World Cup alpine ski racer from Poland. She competed for Poland at the 2014 Winter Olympics in the alpine skiing events, and was 32nd in the giant slalom. She finished 34th in the giant slalom at the World Championships in 2013, and won a gold medal in giant slalom at the 2013 Winter Universiade. She is the sister of alpine racer Agnieszka Gąsienica-Daniel.
Michelle Gisin is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer and competes in all disciplines. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, she won the Women's combined event in 2018 Winter Olympics, and Women's combined at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Born in Samedan, Graubünden, Gisin is the younger sister of alpine ski racers Marc and Dominique Gisin.
Aaron March is an Italian alpine snowboarder. He represented his nation Italy in two editions of the Olympic Games, and eventually claimed a silver medal in parallel giant slalom at the 2013 Winter Universiade in the Trentino and top ten finishes at the FIS World Cup series since his sporting debut in 2001.
Lukas Mathies is an Austrian alpine snowboarder. He represented his nation Austria at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and also became a double medalist, gold and silver, in alpine snowboarding at the 2011 FIS Junior World Championships in Chiesa in Valmalenco, Italy. Mathies currently trains for the Austrian team and for his original club WSV Sankt Gallenkirch, under his personal coach and mentor Tom Weninger.
