Alexandra "Sasha" Emilianov (born 19 September 1999) is a Moldovan female discus thrower, who won an individual gold medal at the 2015 Youth World Championships and at the 2018 IAAF World U20 Championships. [1]
The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of 10 track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek δέκα and ἄθλος. Events are held over two consecutive days and the winners are determined by the combined performance in all. Performance is judged on a points system in each event, not by the position achieved. The decathlon is contested mainly by male athletes, while female athletes typically compete in the heptathlon.

The 2015 World Youth Championships in Athletics was the ninth edition of the biennial international athletics competition for youth (under-18) athletes. The five-day competition took place between 15 and 19 July at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, Colombia. Eligible athletes were aged 16 or 17 on 31 December 2015.
Vashti Cunningham is an American track and field athlete specializing in the high jump. She is the daughter of retired National Football League (NFL) quarterback Randall Cunningham, niece of retired NFL fullback Sam Cunningham, and the younger sister of Randall Cunningham II. Her mother is Felicity de Jager Cunningham, a former ballerina with the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Vashti, like her brother two years ahead of her in school, jumped for Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada until March 2016 when she signed with Nike. She announced at that time she intended to continue her education at a university while competing as a professional athlete.

Yomif Kejelcha Atomsa is an Ethiopian distance runner. He won the silver medal in the 10,000 metres at the 2019 World Athletics Championships and gold medals for the 3000 metres at the 2016 and 2018 World Indoor Championships. Kejelcha is the world indoor record holder for the mile with a time of 3:47.01, set on 3 March 2019 in Boston.
Candace Kathryn Hill is an American track and field athlete who competes in the 100 metres and 200 metres. She graduated from Rockdale County High School. She became the world's first high school woman to break the 11-second barrier clocking 10.98 in the 100 meters sprint at the 2015 Brooks PR Invitational on 21 June 2015 in Shoreline, Washington, United States. Her mark, quickly ratified, is the world youth best, the terminology for world record among athletes before the year of their 18th birthday. Since the mark was set outside of the sanctioned NFHS season, the mark is not eligible for the NFHS High School Record. Out of season marks like this are recognized by Track and Field News which has not yet published it as the National High School Record. Candace Hill is the first US high school female to run under 11.10 for 100 meters.
Armand Gustav "Mondo" Duplantis is a Swedish-American pole vaulter, the current world outdoor and indoor record holder, two-time Olympic champion, two-time World outdoor and two-time indoor champion, the current European champion, and the current Diamond League champion. He won the silver medal at the 2019 World Championships. Duplantis is a three-time European champion from 2018, when he set current world under-20 record, and from 2022 and 2024, he is 2022 World Indoor Championship and 2021 European Indoor Championship gold medalist. He is widely considered the greatest pole vaulter of all time.
Alexandra Tavernier is a French hammer thrower. She finished sixth at the 2014 European Championships. She won gold medals at the 2015 European U23 Championships and 2012 World Junior Championships.

The 20th World Athletics Indoor Championships was rescheduled to be held from 21 to 23 March 2025 in Nanjing, People's Republic of China at the newly built Nanjing's Cube gymnasium in the Nanjing Youth Olympic Sports Park. This would be the city's first hosting of the event although it staged the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games.
The 2011 Balkan Athletics Championships was the 64th edition of the annual track and field competition for athletes from the Balkans, organised by Balkan Athletics. It was held at Stadion Hadzhi Dimitar in Sliven, Bulgaria on 2 and 3 July.
