He swam for his native Kazakhstan at three Olympic Games, and eventually finished fifth in both 100 and 200 m breaststroke at his official Olympic debut in Athens. In total, he has won eight medals in major international tournaments, including his first career gold from the 2006 FINA World Short Course Championships in Shanghai, China. While residing in the United States, Polyakov is a five-time SEC champion, a double NCAA titleholder, and a two-time gold medalist at the national championships. He also earned a total of twelve All-American titles while playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide from 2003 to 2007.
Glen Walshaw is a Zimbabwean former swimmer, who specialized in sprint and middle-distance freestyle events. He is a double medalist at the All-Africa Games (1999), and later represented Zimbabwe at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. For almost thirteen years, Walshaw currently holds a Zimbabwean record in the 200 m freestyle. Tomáš Klobučník is a Slovak swimmer, who specializes in breaststroke events. He is a multiple-time Slovak swimming champion and record holder in the 100 and 200 m breaststroke, and also, a two-time Swimmer of the Year by the Slovak Swimming Federation. Klobucnik is also a resident athlete for J&T Sport Team Bratislava, and is coached and trained by Gabriel Baran.
Yannick Käser is a Swiss swimmer, who specializes in breaststroke events. He is a 7-time Swiss swimming champion, a multiple-time age-group record holder, and a member of the swimming team for Virginia Cavaliers. Chuyev qualified for the men's 200 m butterfly at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, by clearing a FINA B-standard entry time of 1:58.88 from the Ukrainian Summer Cup in Kharkiv. He challenged seven other swimmers on the second heat, including former semifinalist Hsu Chi-chieh of the Chinese Taipei. Chuyev edged out Romania's Alexandru Coci to notch a fourth spot by two hundredths of a second (0.02) in 1:59.65. Chuyev failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed twenty-eighth overall in the preliminaries.

He is also one of two Greek swimmers, alongside Spyridon Bitsakis, who trained for the Alabama Crimson Tide, under head coach Don Gambril, at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Brendan Ashby is a Zimbabwean former swimmer, who specialized in backstroke events. Since 2004, Ashby currently holds two Zimbabwean records in the 100 and 200 m backstroke from the World championships and U.S. invitational meets. He is also a former member of the swimming team for the Alabama Crimson Tide at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Ashby stands 2.05 m and weighs 100 kg (220 lb).
Hanna Miluska is a Swiss former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle events and open water marathon. She is a two-time medalist in the 5 km open water at the World and European Championships. Miluska is also a member of Beider Basel Swimming Club, and is trained by her long-time coach Axel Mitbauer. She is also the daughter of former rower Ivan Miluška, who played for Czechoslovakia in the men's pairs at the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City.
Stavros Michaelides is a Cypriot former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle events. He is a three-time Olympian, a triple medalist at the Mediterranean Games, and a former Cypriot record holder in the 50 m freestyle. In 2003, Michaelides was selected as one of eight Olympians to be the major pioneers of The Race Club in Islamorada, Florida.
Rhyan Elizabeth White is an American swimmer. She won a silver medal in the 4x100-meter medley relay at the 2020 Summer Olympics for her contribution in the prelims of the event and placed fourth in both the 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter backstroke. At the 2020 Olympics, White also became the first Utah-born swimmer to compete in an Olympic Games. At the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, she was the only swimmer representing the United States to win a medal. She won her first world title in the 200-meter backstroke at the 2021 World Short Course Championships.

He won a gold medal in the 4×50 metre medley relay at the 2021 World Short Course Championships and the 4×100 metre medley relay at the 2013 World University Games, swimming the breaststroke leg of both relays in the final. At the 2021 European Short Course Championships he won a bronze medal in the 4×50 metre mixed medley relay, swimming the breaststroke leg of the relay in the preliminaries.
