Alice Wright (born 3 November 1994) is an English-born long-distance runner.
Wright represented Worcester AC as a junior athlete. [1] She won the Worcestershire County Championships 3000 meters race in 2011, setting a personal best of 9:39.98 at the distance a few weeks later in Watford. [2]
Wright moved to the United States in 2013. In college, Wright was an 11-time NCAA Division I All-American (8 time 1st Team, 3 times 2nd Team) at University of New Mexico. [3]
In 2014, Alice Wright led the New Mexico Lobos women's cross country team to an NCAA Division I cross country team championship title, placing 3rd. [4] [5]
In 2015, Courtney Frerichs's 5th place (19:48.0) finish led the team to an NCAA Division I cross country team title scoring 49 points. Wright finished in 6th place (19:53.1). [6]
In 2016, Wright led the team to a seventh-place finish in the NCAA Division I cross country Championships. [7]
In 2017, the New Mexico Lobos women's cross country again won the NCAA Division I cross country team title, with individual winner Ednah Kurgat taking 1st place (19:19.5). Wright was the team's fourth runner, finishing 14th (19:49.73). The 2017 team was University of New Mexico's 8th-straight top-10 performance at the NCAA Championships — the longest active streak in NCAA Women's Division I Cross Country Championship history. [8]

In July 2018, Alice Wright moved to Flagstaff, Arizona to train under coach Ben Rosario at Northern Arizona Elite. [9]
In August 2018, Wright placed 6th (later promoted to 5th) while representing Team GB at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in 10,000 metres. [10]
On 12 September 2021, Wright won the Athens Half Marathon in Athens, Greece, in a time of 1:14:53. [11] In November of the same year, Wright broke the British record in the one-hour run on the track, covering 17,044 meters. [12]
In 2022, Wright made her marathon debut at the Chevron Houston Marathon in Houston, Texas, where she finished second in a time of 2:29:08. [13] She then represented Great Britain internationally for the second time at the senior level, finishing 22nd in the women's marathon at the 2022 European Athletics Championships in a time of 2:35:33.

The New Mexico Lobos are the athletic teams that represent the University of New Mexico, located in Albuquerque. The university participates in the NCAA Division I in the Mountain West Conference (MW) since 1999, after leaving the Western Athletic Conference. The university's athletic program fields teams in 18 varsity sports.
Patrick Tiernan is an Australian long-distance runner. While competing for Villanova University, he won the 2016 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships. He has represented Australia in several global competitions, including the 2016 and 2020 Olympics. He held the Australian record in the 10000 m from 2020 to 2022. Tiernan competes professionally for Puma.

Emily Sisson is an American long-distance runner. She set the North American record in the marathon on October 9, 2022, when she ran 2:18:29 to finish second at the Chicago Marathon. Sisson also held the American record in the half marathon from May 2022 until July 2023. She represented the United States in the 10000 metres at the 2017 and 2019 World Athletics Championships, finishing 9th and 10th. In June 2021, she won the 10000m at the 2020 US Olympic Trials and placed 10th in the 10000m final at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Aliphine Chepkerker Tuliamuk is a Kenyan-born American long-distance runner. She placed first at the 2020 Olympic Marathon trials in Atlanta and represented the United States at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. Tuliamuk has been a world class athlete since placing 9th in 21:09 at 2005 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – Junior women's race. Tuliamuk ran 33:43 to place 15th at 2017 IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Tuliamuk placed 3rd at 2019 Rotterdam Marathon in 2:26:50.

Born in Eritrea, she claimed asylum in the United States in July 2014 and subsequently achieved multiple victories in state and national level competitions while attending Heritage High School in Leesburg, Virginia. While competing for the University of New Mexico, Kelati won the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.
Luis Miguel Grijalva is a Guatemalan long-distance runner. Born in Guatemala, he attended Armijo High School in Fairfield, California, where he was a state champion in cross country and track. He competed for Northern Arizona University from 2017 to 2021, securing multiple All-American finishes in the NCAA. In 2021, Grijalva began competing professionally, sponsored by Hoka One One. At the 2020 Summer Olympics, he finished 12th in the 5000m. He also finished fourth in the 5000m at both the 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships.

Mike Smith is an American coach who has been the director of cross country and track and field at Northern Arizona University since 2017. As the head coach of the men's and women's programs, he has led the men's teams to five NCAA Division I men's cross country championships titles.
