Alintuma Nsambu also known as Alintuma Nsambu John Chrysostom is a Ugandan diplomat,politician and legislator. He served as the former state minister for information &communication technology from 2006 until 2011. [1] [2] He was shuffled from the cabinet to Diplomatic Service and replaced by Nyombi Thembo in the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011. [3]
Nsambu studied at the United States International University in San Diego and also at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany. [4]
From 1996 to 2000,Nsambu served as the officer-in-charge and coordinator for the Exchange Students’Program of the European Union at the Technical University of Braunschweig in Germany. [4]
Nsambu served as the elected member of Parliament representing Bukoto County East in the Masaka District from 2001 until 2011. During the 2011 national election cycle,he controversially lost to Florence Namayanja,of the Democratic Party. [5] [6]
Nsambu served as the appointed ambassador of Uganda to Eritrea but he ended up serving as a Uganda's High Commissioner to Canada. [4] [2]
In 2013,he contested for MP Bukoto South Constituency in Lwengo District where he narrowly lost to the former Democratic Party secretary the Late Matia Nsubuga Birekerawo.
There is a theory that Nsambu's losses were caused by the then Police Chief,Gen.Kale Kayihura who is believed to have manipulated the results. While still a minister,Nsambu is believed to have refused to take a bribe from Kayihura to award an ID production project to his company associates in France.
Immediately after the elections,President Museveni named Alintuma Nsambu Uganda's Ambassador to Canada,Cuba and the Bahamas.
In 2016,President Museveni posted Nsambu to Algiers as Uganda's Ambassador to the Maghreb region (Tunisia,Morocco,Mauritania,Algeria).
Alintuma Nsambu is best remembered for his charity work in establishing computer laboratories in Ugandan schools with the hand of Bill Gates' daughter - Jennifer Gates and with the Bellevue area schools in Washington State.
As Minister,Alintuma Nsambu advised President Museveni to establish a national data bank for the citizens of Uganda and that marked the beginning of the National Identification Project that has enabled every Ugandan adult to have an National ID.
As a Minister for ICT,Alintuma Nsambu initiated the Mobile Money policy among Telecos which is now the most popular platform for transferring money in Uganda.
Nsambu married Susan Nakawuki in 2014. [7] [8] [9] [10]
Eriya Kategaya was a Ugandan lawyer and politician. At the time of his death he was Uganda's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs. He was also an ex officio Member of the Ugandan Parliament,on account of being a cabinet minister.

Paulo Frobisher Muwanga Seddugge Muyanja commonly known as Paulo Muwanga was a Ugandan politician who served briefly as de facto president,and later as prime minister of Uganda.
Aggrey Siryoyi Awori was a Ugandan economist,politician and Olympic hurdler,who served as Minister for Information and Communications Technology in the Cabinet of Uganda from 16 February 2009 to 27 May 2011. Prior to that,he represented Samia-Bugwe North,Busia District in the Ugandan Parliament from 2001 until 2006. Awori was an outspoken opposition member of parliament for the Uganda People's Congress (UPC) political party. In 2007,he abandoned the UPC and joined the ruling National Resistance Movement.
Daudi Migereko was the minister of lands,housing and urban development in the cabinet of Uganda. He was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011. He replaced Omara Atubo,who was dropped from the cabinet. In the cabinet reshuffle of 2016,the president dropped him from this position and replaced him with Betty Amongi. From 16 February 2009 until 27 May 2011,he served as the government's chief whip in the parliament of Uganda. Before that,he was the minister of energy and mineral development in the cabinet. Migereko also represented Butembe County,Jinja District in the parliament from 2006 to 2016,a position he surrendered to Nelson Lufafa who won the seat in the 2016 General Elections.
Hope Ruhindi Mwesigye is a Ugandan lawyer and politician. She is the former Minister for Agriculture,Animal Industry &Fisheries from 16 February 2009 until 27 May 2011. Prior to that,she served as the State Minister for Local Government,from June 2006 until February 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011,she was dropped from the cabinet and replaced by Tress Bucyanayandi.
Jenipher Kacha Namuyangu,also Jennifer Namuyangu Byakatonda,but commonly referred to as Jennifer Namuyangu,is a Ugandan politician and environmentalist. She belongs to the National Resistance Movement political party. She is the current Minister of State for Bunyoro Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office and former Minister of State for Local Government in the Ugandan Cabinet. She was appointed to that position on 6 June 2016. She previously served as the Minister of State for Water Resources,from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the Cabinet reshuffle on 27 May 2011,she was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Betty Bigombe. She also served as the elected Member of Parliament for Pallisa District Women's Representative,from 2001 until 2011. In 2010,Pallisa District was split into two,to create Kibuku District. Namuyangu contested for the parliamentary seat of Kibuku County,Kibuku District. She was rigged bySaleh Kamba by a wide margin.
George William Thembo Nyombi is a Ugandan economist and politician. He is the executive director Uganda Communications Commission a position he assumed on 24 November 2023 and a former State Minister for Information Technology in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011. He replaced Alintuma Nsambu,who was dropped from the Cabinet. Prior to that,he served as the State Minister for Luweero Triangle in the Office of the Prime Minister,from 2009 until 2011. Nyombi Thembo is also a former Member of Parliament (MP),for "Kassanda County South",Mubende District. He has continuously represented the constituency since 2001.
General Elly Tumwine,was a Ugandan military officer,designer,visual artist,and educator. He was the former Security Minister in the Cabinet of Uganda,from March 2018 until 2021. He retired from active military service in July 2022.
General Edward Kalekezi Kayihura,commonly known as Kale Kayihura,is a Ugandan lawyer,military General,farmer and former policeman. He was the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Uganda Police Force,the highest rank in that branch of Uganda's government,from 2005 until 5 March 2018. He was succeeded by Martin Okoth Ochola in an unexpected reshuffle. This also saw the Minister for security Henry Tumukunde replaced.

Peter Ogwang is a Ugandan politician. He is the current Minister of State for Sports in the Ugandan Cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 22 July 2022,replacing Denis Obua. Florence Namayanja is a female Ugandan politician who was district woman representative of Bukoto County East,Masaka District. She was affiliated to the Democratic Party political party and now affiliated to National Unity Platform. In the 11th Parliament,she stood as the Candidate for LC5 Chairperson for Masaka City under the National Unity Platform although she lost the elections. She was the winner of Masaka city mayoral seat after defeating seven candidates including business tycoon,Emmanuel Lwasa with 28,824 votes.
Kwizera Eudia was a Ugandan politician and social worker. A member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party,she served in the eighth Parliament of Uganda representing Kisoro District.
Susan Nakawuki Nsambu is a Ugandan lawyer,politician and legislator who served in the eighth Parliament of Uganda as the Woman representative for Busiiro County East in Wakiso District. She was a member of the third and forth East African Legislative Assemblies.
