Alkanibacter is a Gram-negative genus of bacteria from the family of Nevskiaceae with one known species (Alkanibacter difficilis). [2] [1] [3] [4] Alkanibacter difficilis has been isolated from a hexane degrading biofilter in Hamm in Germany. [5] [2]
