Alok Chatterjee is an Indian theatre actor and director known for his theatre productions like Death of a Salesman , Nat Samrat and #Anandmath latest play 2022. [1] [2] [3] He has been teaching at NSD and Pune based FTII. He also taught acting in the institute of Anupam Kher, Actor Prepress in Mumbai. [4] At present, Chatterjee, in Madhya Pradesh Natya Vidyalaya Bhopal, is known for his vast range of acting (teaching) with deep literary understanding. [5] He is a gold medalist from the National School of Drama, Delhi for best acting. [6] At present Alok Chatterjee does theatre in his hometown at Bhopal. [7] He also awarded with Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for the year 2019 by the president of India Droupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi. [8]

Early life and education

Alok Chatterjee was born in Madhya Pradesh, to a Hindu family. He earned a scholarship to study at National School of Drama (NSD) in New Delhi in 1987. [9] [3] Actor Irfan Khan and he was batchmate in NSD. [3] When he was in Mumbai alcohol and some other chaos pushed them into oblivion. "It's hard to walk home In the words of Chatterjee who worshiped both times, Mahakal (Shiva), "It was the effect of fifty-seven years ago." (वह साढ़े साती का असर था)" [5]

Bansi Kaul was an Indian theatre director and the founder of Rang Vidushak, a theatre group in Bhopal. Manohar Singh was an Indian theatre actor-director and character actor in Hindi films. He is best known for his performances in films such as Party (1984) and Daddy (1989). Sohini Sengupta is an Indian film and theatre actress. Daughter of actor Rudraprasad Sengupta and Swatilekha Sengupta, who are also active in theatre, Sohini is one of the leading actors of the Bengali theatre group Nandikar. As a member of the group, she has worked with prominent theatre personalities such as Debshankar Halder, Sumanto Gangopadhyay and Parthapratim Deb, and was awarded Sangeet Natak Akademi's 2007 Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for contributions to theatre. Kumar Roy (1926–2010) was a Bengali theatre actor, director and playwright. In 1983 he won the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. He was associated with the group Bohurupee. In 1989 he directed the re-creation of the classic play Nabanna (1948). He was the President of the PashchimBanga Natya Akademi from 2006 till his death in 2010. Kumar Roy was also Professor of Drama at Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata and Visiting Professor at Sangeet Bhavan, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan.

Haobam Ongbi Ngangbi Devi was an Indian classical dancer and musician, known for her expertise in the Manipuri Dance forms of Lai Haraoba and Raas. In 2010, the Government of India awarded Haobam Ongbi Ngangbi Devi the Padma Shri, the fourth highest Indian civilian award.

Rita Ganguly is an exponent in the Indian classical arts. An accomplished dancer, musician and vocalist, she was honoured with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 2000 and with the Padma Shri in 2003.
