Alt for Norge (All for Norway, marketed in the United States as The Great Norway Adventure) is a Norwegian reality television series which debuted in 2010 and appears on TVNorge. It was originally hosted by Henriette Bruusgaard from 2010 to 2015, and Fridtjof Nilsen from 2016 to 2019. The redebut in 2024 is hosted by Kjetil Jansrud. The reality show features Norwegian Americans participating in challenges relating to Norwegian history and culture, competing to win a reunion with their distant Norwegian relatives. The original Norwegian concept has also been exported to Sweden and Denmark.

Contents

The phrase "Alt for Norge" is the royal motto of Norway.

2024 – Season 11

On the 8th of November, 2019, it was announced that there were no plans for an 11th season of Alt for Norge, and for several years it appeared that season 10 would be the last season ever. However, on December 21, 2023 the search for potential season 11 contestants was announced by O’Connor Casting. Season 11 will start airing on 16 September 2024

Starting in Season 11 Kjetil Jansrud took over as host.

Lillestrøm Sportsklubb is a Norwegian professional football club based in the city of Lillestrøm, just outside of the capital Oslo. The Challenge is a reality competition show on MTV that is a spin-off of two of the network's reality shows, The Real World and Road Rules. Premiering in 1998, it originally featured alumni from these two shows. Casting for The Challenge has slowly expanded to include contestants who debuted on The Challenge itself, alumni from other MTV franchises including Are You the One?, Ex on the Beach, Geordie Shore, and from other non-MTV shows and competitions. Aksel Lund Svindal is a Norwegian former World Cup alpine ski racer. Born in Lørenskog in Akershus county, Svindal is a two-time overall World Cup champion, an Olympic gold medalist in super-G at the 2010 Winter Olympics and in downhill at the 2018 Winter Olympics, and a five-time World Champion in downhill, giant slalom, and super combined. With his victory in the downhill in 2013, Svindal became the first male alpine racer to win titles in four consecutive world championships.

Gullruten is an annual award for the Norwegian TV industry, founded in 1998 by Norske Film- og TV-produsenters forening. Kjetil Jansrud is a Norwegian former World Cup alpine ski racer and Olympic champion. He competed in all alpine disciplines apart from slalom, and his best event was the giant slalom where he has six World Cup podiums and an Olympic silver medal. Since 2012, he had concentrated on the speed events, where all but two of his World Cup victories had come. At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, he won the super-G and placed third in the downhill. At the World Championships in 2019 at Åre, Jansrud won gold in the downhill. Kjetil is the current host of popular tv reality show Alt for Norge.

The men's super-G in the 2017 Alpine Skiing World Cup involved six events, including the finals in Aspen, Colorado (USA). Although Norwegian skier Aleksander Aamodt Kilde was the defending champion in the discipline, fellow Norwegian Kjetil Jansrud won the first three Super-G races of the season. With only six events in the discipline, Jansrud then clinched the season championship before the finals merely by finishing seventh in the fifth Super-G of the year in Kvitfjell, Norway.
