Rules
Forty-nine cards are set up into seven columns of seven cards each. In each column, the top card, the third and fifth cards from the top and the bottom card are face up. The second, fourth, and sixth cards from the top are face down. This results in an alternating OXOXOXO pattern.
The object of the game is to release the Aces as they become available, creating foundations, and to then build up each suit from the Ace.
The top cards of each column are available for play, to be built up by suit on the foundations, or on each other down by alternating colors. A sequence or part of a sequence can be moved as a unit.
When no more cards can be moved, the stock (the remaining cards) is dealt one card at a time. A card that cannot be built on the tableau or on the foundations is placed on the waste pile, the top card of which is available for play.
The game is won when all cards are built onto the foundations. If this is not achieved, the game ends after the entire stock has run out. There is no redeal.
Gargantua is a solitaire card game that is a version of Klondike using two decks. It is also known as Double Klondike and as Jumbo.

King Albert is a solitaire card game using a deck of 52 playing cards. It is said to be named after Albert I of Belgium and is a variant of Somerset. It is the best known of the three games that are each called Idiot's Delight because of the low chance of winning the game.
British Square is a solitaire card game which uses two decks of 52 playing cards each. It has an unusual feature of switchback building whereby each foundation is first built up and then built down.
Stonewall is a solitaire card game using a deck of 52 playing cards. It is probably thus named because the player seems to break down walls in exposing more of the face-down cards. Its tableau is similar to that of Flower Garden with its beds as columns.
Diplomat is a solitaire card game which is played using two decks of playing cards shuffled together. Its layout is similar to that of Beleaguered Castle.
Martha is a solitaire card game that is played with a deck of 52 playing cards. It has a novelty of having half of the cards in the tableau faced down.
Red and Black is a solitaire card game which uses two decks of playing cards. The game is so called because all building is done in alternating colors of red and black. It is not related to another similarly named solitaire game of Rouge et Noir, although Red and Black can also be known under that name.
Rouge et Noir is a patience card game which is played using two decks of playing cards. Invented by Charles Jewell, it is a unique game where two types of building are done in the same game. It should not be confused with the similarly named Red and Black, although the latter can also be known under this name, nor the gambling card game also called Trente et Quarante which is likewise known as Rouge et Noir.
Queen of Italy is a solitaire card game played with two decks of playing cards. It is a difficult game to win, because the cards that potentially block the game are presented at the start.
Duchess is a solitaire card game which uses a deck of 52 playing cards. It has all four typical features, a tableau, a reserve, a stock and a waste pile, and is quite easy to win.

Four Seasons is a solitaire card game which is played with a deck of playing cards. It is given the more appropriate alternate names of Corner Card and Vanishing Cross because of where the foundations are placed and the arrangement of the tableau respectively.
British Blockade, also known as Parallels, is a patience game or solitaire of the blockade family which is played with two packs of playing cards. The name British Blockade was given to distinguish it from French Blockade which, however, is not a blockade game. The name Parallels is simply derived from the fact that the cards are lined up in rows parallel to each other.
Gate is a solitaire card game which is played using a deck of 52 playing cards. It gets its name because the cards are laid out in such a way that they form a gate.
