Ambrose is an unincorporated community in Grayson County, Texas, United States. [1]
Ambrose is situated on the intersection of Farm to Market Road 1897 and U.S. Highway 69. It was named after settler Ambrose Bible, who bought land from a February 20, 1845 land survey by Daniel Montague. The land was in Fannin County at the time it was bought. The Denison, Bonham and New Orleans Railroad built a stop in Ambrose. A post office was opened in September 1902, with James B. Moore as postmaster. The railroad stop was closed by 1927, and the post office was moved to nearby Bells in 1930. As of 2014, the community has a population of 90. [2]

Hungerford is a census-designated place (CDP) in northeastern Wharton County, Texas, United States. U.S. Route 59, Texas State Highway 60, and Farm to Market Road 1161 intersect in the community. The Kansas City Southern Railway Co. passes through Hungerford. The population was 390 at the 2020 census. It is located on what in the 1820s was part of colonist Alexander Jackson's land grant north of George E. Quinan's home. By the 1870s, the Quinan settlement grew up a short distance away, but its residents moved to the new town when the railroad came through Hungerford.

The main road running through Morrisonville is County Trunk DM, which connects from State Highway 51 approximately 8 miles (13 km) to the village of Dane, Wisconsin. At each entrance into the town on DM is a welcome sign calling Morrisonville "Frogtown U.S.A."

It is in the northern part of the county. "Zamora District is bordered by County Road 10 to the north and County Road 16 to the south, County Road 85 on the west and Highway 113 on the east. In 1879, Zamora District included the areas of West Grafton, the eastern portion of Fairview, and a small strip of East Grafton. The Zamora District encompasses Oat Valley, along Oat Creek in the northwestern part of the district and Hungry Hollow which is in an area along the foothills west of Zamora."

Dooley is a ghost town in northeastern Sheridan County, Montana, United States. The town was established as a station stop and one of the first four depots along the Soo Line Railroad branch line to Whitehall.
Jerome Junction is a ghost town in Yavapai County, Arizona, United States. Established in 1894, the community served as a railroad transfer stop between the town of Prescott and the town of Jerome. It served as a transfer point between the Santa Fe, Prescott and Phoenix Railway (SFP&P) and the narrow-gauge United Verde & Pacific Railway for 25 years. The narrow-gauge line was built precariously on the side of Woodchute Mountain by William A. Clark after he bought the United Verde Copper Company. In 1917 it had a population of 150. When it was replaced by standard-gauge line on the east side of the mountain from Jerome to Clarkdale in 1920, Jerome Junction became a ghost town, and in 1923, the activities of the former town were absorbed by Chino Valley.
The Bethpage Purchase was a 1687 land transaction in which Thomas Powell, Sr, bought more than 15 square miles in central Long Island, New York, for £140 from local Indian tribes, including the Marsapeque, Matinecoc, and Sacatogue. This land, which includes present day Bethpage, East Farmingdale, Farmingdale, Old Bethpage, Plainedge, Plainview, South Farmingdale, and part of Melville, is approximately 3.5 miles (5.6 km) east to west and 5 mi (8.0 km) north to south, covering land on both sides of the present-day border between Nassau and Suffolk counties.

The location is about 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Mullin, and 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Goldthwaite, the county seat. When originally settled, Williams Ranch was located in the far southern portion of what is now Brown County.
