The seventh cycle of America's Next Top Model started airing on September 20, 2006 as the first to be aired on The CW network. The season's catch-phrase is "The Competition Won't Be Pretty." The season's promotional theme song is "Hot Stuff (I Want You Back)" by Pussycat Dolls.

<i>Americas Next Top Model</i> television series

America's Next Top Model is an American reality television series and interactive competition in which a number of aspiring models compete for the title of "America's Next Top Model" and a chance to begin their career in the modeling industry. Created by Tyra Banks, who also serves as an executive producer, and developed by Ken Mok and Kenya Barris, the series premiered in May 2003, and was aired semiannually until 2012, then annually from 2013. The first six seasons were aired on UPN, before UPN merged with The WB to create The CW in 2006. The following sixteen cycles were aired on The CW until the series was first cancelled in October 2015. The series has since been revived, with cycle 24 currently airing by VH1. The series was among the highest-rated programs on UPN, and was the highest-rated show on The CW from 2007 to 2010. Advertisers paid $61,315 per 30-second slot during the 2011–12 television seasons, the highest of any series on The CW.

To date, this cycle is the most watched season in The CW, averaging 5.13 million viewers per episode. In addition, a new opening was made, different from the last three cycles. J.Manuel also was added to the final judging panel, for a total of five judges deciding on the winner.

CoverGirl is an American cosmetics brand founded in Maryland, United States, by the Noxzema Chemical Company and acquired by Procter & Gamble in 1989 and later acquired by Coty, Inc. in 2016. The Noxell Company advertised this cosmetics line by allowing "cover girls", models, actresses, and singers who appear on the front cover of women's magazines, to wear its products. CoverGirl primarily provides a wide variety of consumer-grade cosmetics.

CariDee English American model

CariDee English is an American fashion model and TV personality who won Cycle 7 of America's Next Top Model in December 2006. Her prize was a $100,000 contract with CoverGirl Cosmetics, a modeling contract with Elite Models, and a six-page fashion editorial and cover for Seventeen magazine. She is the first natural blonde to win ANTM and the second ANTM winner from North Dakota, the first being Nicole Linkletter of Cycle 5. English was also the host of Oxygen's biggest-premiering show to date, Pretty Wicked.

The thirty-three semi-finalists went on their first photoshoot which consisted of ten poses. They then had their interviews with Jay Manuel, J. Alexander, and Tyra. The cuts reduced the semi-finalists down to twenty-one where they had their first nude shoot. The final cut resulted in thirteen finalists.

The thirteen finalists participated in a challenge where they had to feminize the outfits of male models, with the winner being Melrose. They had a photoshoot where they portrayed different model stereotypes. The judging saw Christian become the first model eliminated.

The Girl Who Hates Her Hair

First aired September 27, 2006

The twelve finalists received makeovers and then had a swimsuit photoshoot. They participated in a challenge where they had to create and sell their own new look, with the winner being Eugena. They had a photoshoot with crazy hair in the style of Hair Wars . The judging saw Megan become the second model eliminated.

The Girl Who Goes To Texas

The eleven finalists participated in a challenge that tested their runway walk, poise, and balance, with the winner being AJ. They had a photoshoot where they had walk a rocking runway over water. The judging saw Monique become the third model eliminated.

The Girl Who Joined the Circus

The ten finalists participated in a challenge where they had to become living art, with the winner being Eugena. They had a photoshoot where they portrayed different circus characters. The judging saw Megg become the fourth model eliminated.

The Girl Who Punk'd Ashton

The nine finalists participated in a challenge where they had to give a red carpet interview, with the winner being Melrose. They had a photoshoot where they had to portray both members of a celebrity couple. The judging saw AJ become the fifth model eliminated.

The eight finalists had an impromptu black and white photoshoot. They participated in a challenge where they had to walk sexy on a dining table runway, with the winner being Melrose. They had a second photoshoot where they shot romance novel covers. The judging saw Brooke become the sixth model eliminated.

The Girl Who Wrecks the Car

The seven finalists participated in a challenge where they shot their own action shots, with the winner being Michelle. They had a photoshoot where they did a campaign for Cover Girl TruBlend Whipped Foundation set in outer outerspace. The judging saw Anchal become the seventh model eliminated.

The Girl Who Breaks Down

The six finalists participated in a challenge where they had to shoot a silent film, with the winner being CariDee. The models travelled to Barcelona, Spain, where they shot a commercial for Secret Deodorant in Catalan. The judging saw Jaeda become the eighth model eliminated.
