American Hunger is a triple album released on CD. [1] It was released in 2006 by Manhattan, New York rap artist MF Grimm. It is also the first triple album in hip-hop history. It was originally planned for release on July 4, 2004, however multiple delays occurred including having to remove MF Doom's productions from the tracks and MF Grimm's hard drive losing data.

Stylus A [5]

American Hunger has received very positive reviews from music critics and fans. AllMusic's Marisa Brown gave the album four stars out of five and called the album "a hard-hitting, provocative record that contains none of the skits or other filler commonly associated with hip-hop". [3] She continued by concluding that the album is "one of the most thought-provoking and intelligent records -- in any genre -- of the new century". [3] A.J. Henriques of Stylus Magazine gave the album an "A" score and said:

The word “filler” is subjective, but it’s astoundingly difficult to apply it to any of the tracks on American Hunger. If pressed, Grimm probably could’ve made this a double album—but it’d be impossible to say what he’d shelve. Or why. Yeah: some tracks stand out and some are more sonically pleasing than others, but nothing feels out of place thematically and, despite the musical diversity, every part adds up to form a remarkable, cohesive work of art. [5]

Fan reception over the years has been positive, and American Hunger has remained one of MF Grimm's most popular and enduring albums.

The Day After is the fifth studio album by American rapper Twista. It was released on October 4, 2005 via Atlantic Records. The follow-up to his 2004 breakthrough album Kamikaze, the album marked Twista's first project without contribution from longtime collaborator The Legendary Traxster. Instead, he worked with a variety of new collaborators on the album, including Bigg D, Mr. Collipark, Cuxo, Bryan-Michael Cox, Rodney Jerkins, Jim Jonsin, R. Kelly, The Neptunes, Scott Storch, and Toxic.

Monsta Island Czars was a Long Island/New York City hip-hop collective that was formed by MF Grimm and included MF DOOM among numerous Long Beach MC's. Special Herbs + Spices Volume 1 2004 studio album by MF Doom & MF Grimm

Special Herbs + Spices Vol. 1 is the second collaborative album released by American rappers MF Doom and MF Grimm, released in 2004 on Grimm's own Day By Day Entertainment label. Unlike their previous works, this CD is solely focused on MF Grimm's rhyming over MF Doom's production. The first ingredient of each song title is a reference to the corresponding track from Doom's Special Herbs series of instrumental albums. The tracks on the album were composed as freestyles by MF Grimm with many being written on the spot prior to recording. This reflects Grimm's past as a prolific and decorated battle rapper. Due to the duo's falling out after the release of this album, it is the last record to be released collaboratively.

Jorge Antonio Alvarez, better known by his stage names Kurious or Kurious Jorge, is an American hip hop recording artist from New York City.

Liberation (Talib Kweli and Madlib album) 2007 studio album by Talib Kweli & Madlib

Liberation is a collaborative album by Talib Kweli and Madlib. It was made available as a free download from Stones Throw's Rappcats website, and Kweli and Madlib's MySpace pages for the first week of 2007, beginning New Year's Eve 2007. It was removed about a week later. One cover for the album is an adaptation of a piece by guerrilla artist Banksy, and an alternative cover is a collage of Talib Kweli, a dollar sign, and the Statue of Liberty.

Day by Day Entertainment is an independent hip hop record label and record distribution company based in New York City. It was started in 1999 by MF Grimm before his three-year incarceration starting in 2000.

The Good Morning Vietnam EP is an eight-track, 2012 extended play by underground hip hop artists MF Grimm & Drasar Monumental released on prominent underground label Vendetta Vinyl. The album was preceded by the promotional mixtape Preemptive Strike earlier the same year. The EP follows the theme of the Vietnam war as a very loose thematic backdrop and is the first of three planned releases between the two artists on the Vendetta Vinyl label. The EP's CD and digital mp3 releases only contain one twenty-minute track to give the feel of a vinyl release. While both the CD and 12" Vinyl releases advertise that the album contains the instrumentals, only the vinyl release actually does, on the B side. The full-length sequel, Good Morning Vietnam 2: The Golden Triangle was released in 2013.

The discography of American hip hop artist MF Grimm consists of seven studio albums, three EPs, three mixtapes and two compilation albums. Although MF Grimm's rapping career began in the late 1980s, his debut record did not come until 2000 in the form of the MF EP, a collaborative project with MF Doom. Grimm had previously executive produced MF Doom's debut solo album Operation: Doomsday, as well as aiding with the mixing and recording, on top of having a solo track on the project. Grimm's debut album, The Downfall of Ibliys: A Ghetto Opera was released in 2002. The third collaborative project with Drasar Monumental in the Good Morning Vietnam series was released November 25, 2014. Grimm's discography is also notable in that his album American Hunger is the first triple disc album of original material by a solo hip hop artist.

Sentences: The Life of MF Grimm is a 2007 graphic novel written by hip hop artist Percy Carey, better known as MF Grimm.
