Olympiacós Sýndesmos Filáthlon Peiraiós is a major multi-sport club based in Piraeus, Greece. Olympiacos is parent to a number of different competitive departments which participate in football, basketball, volleyball, water polo, handball, athletics, swimming, table tennis and boxing amongst many others—and have won numerous European and domestic titles over the club's history.

The department was founded in 1925, one of the founding members of the Hellenic Swimming Federation, and their home ground is the Papastrateio Pool in Piraeus.

He is currently the captain of Greece men's national water polo team, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2016 World League, 2020 World League and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He played for the Greek powerhouse Olympiacos since 2009, and in 2018 he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the final game against Pro Recco in Genoa. Is a very big scorer and leader is considered one of the top players in the world and it is typical how in 2016 and 2018 he was voted as the second top player in the world. Greek League is ranked as one of the top national domestic leagues in European water polo. The champion, the runner-up and the third-placed team qualify for the LEN Euro League.

He is the current head coach of Greece Junior national water polo team, whom he led to the bronze medal at the 2015 European Games at Baku and the current assistant coach of Greece men's national water polo team as well. He is also the head of Olympiacos Water Polo Academy.
Konstantinos Genidounias is a Greek water polo player. He was part of the Greek team that won the bronze medal at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships. Genidounias is considered one of the top scorers in the world. His top personal distinction is when he became the top scorer of the Champions League 2018–19 season as he scored 42 goals while in the same year he emerged ninth top player in the world.
The Piraeus derby, is a traditional association football and water polo rivalry between Ethnikos Piraeus and Olympiacos, the 2 teams representing the city of Piraeus, Greece. Ethnikos was founded on November 21, 1923, while Olympiacos was founded on March 10, 1925. The two teams are one of the most successful multi sports clubs in Greece in terms of honours, with Olympiacos being the team with the most titles in the five biggest team sports, while Ethnikos being fifth.
Maria Tsouri is a Greek water polo player, part of Greece women's national water polo team that won the Silver Medal at the 2010 European Championship in Zagreb, the Gold Medal at the 2005 FINA Women's Water Polo World League in Kirishi and the Bronze Medal at the 2010 World League in San Diego. She also competed with the Greece women's national water polo team in the 2006 European Water Polo Championship, the 2007 World Championship, the 2008 European Championship and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Evdokia Tetzalidou is a Greek retired water polo player, who played as a centre back for Olympiacos and Ethnikos in Greece. As a player of Olympiacos, Tetzalidou won the 2014–15 LEN Euro League Women, the 2015 Women's LEN Super Cup and the 2014 Women's LEN Trophy. She also won the 2010 Women's LEN Trophy with Ethnikos.
Christopher A. Humbert is a former water polo center forward from the United States, who competed in three Summer Olympics for his native country. He was part of the United States national team squads that won the gold medal in the 1991 FINA World Cup in Barcelona and the gold medal in the 1997 FINA World Cup in Athens.

He is part of Greece national team that competes at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest. He started his career in Ethnikos, a club with great tradition in water polo. He was named best rookie of the Greek championship in 2015 and 2016. He then played for Greek powerhouse Olympiacos, with whom he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League, 2 Greek Championships and 1 Greek Cup. He is currently a player of Ferencvárosi TC.
Giorgos Katsoulis was a Greek water polo player and the assistant coach of Olympiacos Women's Water Polo Team, since 2016.
Nikitas Kocheilas is a Greek water polo player. As a member of Greece men's national water polo team, he won the bronze medal at the 2006 FINA World League and competed at the 2006 European Championship, the 2006 FINA World Cup and the 2008 FINA World League. Kocheilas was also part of the Greece men's national water polo team that was the Champion at the 2001 Junior World Championship in Istanbul.
