Anitra Hamilton

Anitra Hamilton is an American politician from West Virginia. She is a Democrat and represents District 81, which covers Monongalia County, in the West Virginia House of Delegates since 2023.

Hamilton is the President of the NAACP for Morgantown and Kingwood. [1] In 2023, Governor Jim Justice appointed Hamilton to fill the vacancy created by Danielle Walker. [2]

A member of the Republican Party, he was a candidate for governor of West Virginia in the state's 2024 gubernatorial election but was defeated by Patrick Morrisey. He resigned from the West Virginia House in December 2023 to focus on his campaign.
