Everett became the first chancellor of the Municipal College System of New York City,later known as the City University of New York (CUNY). CUNY,established by New York State legislation in 1961 and signed into law by Governor Nelson Rockefeller,was an amalgamation of existing institutions and a new graduate school.

Sala's Gift:My Mother's Holocaust Story is an account by Ann Kirschner of her mother Sala's experiences in the Holocaust,based primarily on a collection of letters her mother gave her,that she had received while in Nazi labor camps,written by about 80 correspondents. The most famous of the letter writers was Sala's friend Ala Gertner,who was hanged at Auschwitz for her role in the only armed uprising at the camp.
Fathom was an online learning portal project,spearheaded by Columbia University,that opened to the public in late 2000. Partners in the venture included the London School of Economics and Political Science,the British Library,the New York Public Library,Cambridge University Press,and the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. Failing to turn a profit despite a 2002 business plan change,Fathom closed in early 2003.
Félix V. Matos Rodríguez is a Puerto Rican academic administrator,currently the eighth Chancellor of The City University of New York (CUNY),the largest urban public university system in the United States. A historian,professor,author and noted Puerto Rican scholar,Matos Rodríguez previously served as president of two CUNY colleges and as a cabinet secretary of the Puerto Rico Department of Family Affairs. He assumed the post of Chancellor of CUNY on May 1,2019,becoming the first Hispanic to lead the university.
Mary Corliss Pearl,an environmental scientist,is a former Dean of William E. Macaulay Honors College. She was appointed by Chancellor Milliken in September 2016,and served until August 2021. Formerly,Dr. Pearl served as the first dean and administrative vice president of Stony Brook University Southampton. Before coming to Macaulay Honors College,she was CEO of The Garrison Institute.
