    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Turid Birkeland</span> Norwegian politician

    Turid Birkeland was a Norwegian cultural executive and former politician for the Labour Party. She was Minister of Culture in 1996–97. She was an author and also worked in television, including being chief of cultural programming at NRK and a member of the board at Telenor. She also headed the Risør Chamber Music Festival, and was the director of Concerts Norway.

Elvik had her breakthrough in the popular Norwegian TV-series "Vestavind", but is probably best known for her role as Hanne Wilhelmsen in the filmatisation of Anne Holt's crime novels Salige er de som tørster and Blind gudinne. She also acted in the television sitcom Seks som Oss on TV2 from 2004 to 2007. In 2009 she starred in Mamma Mia, in the role of Rosy, at Folketeateret in Oslo. She is married and has one child.

    Berit Reiss-Andersen is a Norwegian lawyer, author and former politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. She is chairman of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, the 5-member committee that awards the Nobel Peace Prize. She is also a board member of the Nobel Foundation, which has the overall responsibility for all the five Nobel Prizes. She served as state secretary for the Minister of Justice and Police from 1996 to 1997 and as president of the Norwegian Bar Association from 2008 to 2012. She has co-authored two crime novels with former Minister of Justice Anne Holt. She is currently a partner at DLA Piper's Oslo office.
