Annie, known popularly as Baby Annie, (born 31 March 2001) is an Indian actress who appears in Telugu films. She is known for the role of Mallamma in the 2011 period film Rajanna , for which she received a Nandi Award. [1] [2] She made her debut through Anukokunda OkaRoju alongside Jagapathi Babu and Charmi. Her other notable films include Swagatham, Athidi, Stalin and Ek Niranjan .

Early life and career

Annie was born and brought up in Hyderabad, India in a Telugu family.

Annie started her acting career at the age of 4 and till now she shared screen with many top actors of the industry like Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Jagapathi Babu, Gopichand, and Ram Pothineni, Ram Charan, Uday Kiran and Aadhi Pinisetty. She has also acted in a Bhojpuri film titled Shiva directed by Dinesh Lal Yadav under Suresh Productions.

She has won three Nandi Awards, one for the telefilm Trap (2007), another for the TV show Gorintaku (2010) and another for Rajanna (2011). [3] She have also won Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress – Telugu for the latter. [4] [5]

Rajanna is a 2011 Indian Telugu-language period action film written and directed by V. Vijayendra Prasad. The film is produced by Nagarjuna, and starred him, Sneha, Shwetha Menon and child artist Baby Annie. The film is partially inspired by Razakar movement, and freedom fighter Suddala Hanmanthu. Rajanna was released to positive reviews and critical acclaim, with soundtrack composed by M. M. Keeravani. The film recorded as Above Average at the box office. The film has won six state Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Second Best Feature Film - Silver. The film was set to be released on 23 December 2011, but the date was moved ahead to 21 December due to a good response to the film's music.

<i>Subhalagnam</i> 1994 Indian film

Subhalagnam is a 1994 Indian Telugu-language film co-written, directed, and scored by S. V. Krishna Reddy. It stars Jagapathi Babu, Aamani, and Roja. The film was produced by K. Venkateswara Rao under the Sri Priyanka Pictures banner and presented by C. Aswani Dutt. The plot follows a greedy woman who makes a financial deal to let another woman marry her husband. The film's story is based on the American film Indecent Proposal (1993) which was based on the 1988 novel of same name which had already adapted into 1991 Kannada film Ajagajantara.

Nandi Awards for the year 2011 announced by Andhra Pradesh Government on 13 October 2012. Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Sri Rama Rajyam won the best film award followed by Nagarjuna’s Rajanna and Srikanth’s Virodhi. Mahesh Babu won Best actor Award for his performance in the super hit film Dookudu. Akkineni Nagarjuna won the special jury award for his performance in Rajanna and Nayantara won the best actress award for her performance in Sri Ramarajyam.
