Ninaithale Inikkum is a 1979 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy film directed by K. Balachander starring Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Jaya Prada and Geetha. The story was written by Sujatha. The film was also simultaneously shot in Telugu as Andamaina Anubhavam. A large part of the film was shot in Singapore. The film was later dubbed in Hindi as Pyara Tarana.
Sivi is a 2007 Indian Tamil-language horror film directed by K. R. Senthil Nathan and starring Yogi, Jayashri Rao and Anuja Iyer. A remake of the 2004 Thai film Shutter, Sivi was released on 21 September 2007 across theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Ninaithale Inikkum is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language buddy drama film directed by G. N. R. Kumaravelan. It is a remake of the 2006 Malayalam film Classmates. Prithviraj Sukumaran reprises his role from the original film, the film co-starred Shakthi Vasu, Priyamani, Karthik Kumar, Anuja Iyer, Vishnupriyan, K. Bhagyaraj and Manobala. The soundtrack was composed by Vijay Antony.
Sujatha was an Indian actress who performed and starred in a variety of unique characters in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films- in addition to few in Kannada and Hindi languages as well. The actress was best known for restraint and subtlety in portrayal of varied emotions. After starring in numerous Malayalam films in her mother-tongue, Sujatha later got introduced to the Tamil film industry by veteran director K. Balachander and producer P.R. Govindarajan as a protagonist in her first Tamil film, Aval Oru Thodar Kathai (1974). It was a critically acclaimed film and launched the actress's first commecrical breakthrough in her acting career. Whereas, her first Telugu picture happened to be a Telugu/Tamil bilingual titled as Guppedu Manasu (1979) in Telugu and was simultaneously shot as Nool Veli in Tamil of the same year. She died of a cardiac arrest on 6 April 2011 in Chennai.
Unnaipol Oruvan is a 2009 Indian thriller directed by Chakri Toleti in his directorial debut. It stars Mohanlal and Kamal Hassan. The film was simultaneously made in Telugu as Eenadu (transl. Today) with Venkatesh playing Mohanlal's role, both remakes of the 2008 Hindi film A Wednesday!. Set in Chennai and Hyderabad in the Tamil and Telugu versions respectively, the film depicts the confrontation between an anonymous caller who has planted bombs in the city and wants four terrorists to be released, and a police commissioner who tries to hunt him down.
Mayandi Kudumbathar is a 2009 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Rasu Madhuravan, who directed Poomagal Oorvalam and Pandi previously. Starring ten Tamil film directors, including Manivannan, Seeman, Tarun Gopi, Ponvannan, and K. P. Jagannath in lead and supporting roles. The film, scored by Sabesh–Murali and filmed by Balabharani, was released on 5 June 2009, going on to become critically and commercially successful and blockbuster at the box office.

His third film Haridas (2013), led to him being nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Director.

Mudhal Mudhal Mudhal Varai also known as M3V, is a 2008 Tamil language film directed by debutant Krishnan Seshadri Gomatam, who previously worked as an assistant to Mani Rathnam and P. C. Sreeram. The film stars Sathyajit, Anuja Iyer, and Charan. This film features a hundred new faces for the first time in Tamil cinema.
