Archana Sharma, also credited as Ayshickka Sharma, is an Indian actress and model, who appears in Kollywood and Tollywood films. She made her acting debut in Thozhi (2009). She is currently pursuing her MBA from ISBR Chennai.

Career

Sharma hails from Bihar. She was born in Bangalore and lived in Mumbai before she came to Chennai. [1] Before she became an actress, she did modelling. She has done over forty commercials, which include ads for Francis Alukkas jewellery and textiles in Chennai and Kerala, RmKV, Univercell mobiles, City Union Bank and Pigeon cooker. [2] She completed her engineering in Computer Science from Saveetha Engineering college, thandalam, chennai She is trained in Martial arts and has received the Black Belt. [2] She is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer. [2] She is doing her MBA from ISBR Chennai. [1]

She was introduced by director Elango Lakshmanan in the Tamil film Thozhi (2009). [3] She later acted in S. A. Chandrasekhar's Veluthu Kattu [4] and with Jai Akash in Othigai. [5] She made her Tollywood debut with R. P. Patnaik's Friends Book . [6] She will make her Malayalam debut with Second Innings. [6] She acts as Parvathy Maria Columbus who is in love with Manu Madhav, played by Rajeev Pillai. [7] While shooting a song at Peermade, she and her co-star Rajeev Pillai almost fell off a cliff. Amirtham (transl. Amrita) is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language drama film produced, written and directed by K. Kannan, making his directorial debut. The film stars newcomer Ganesh and Navya Nair, with Girish Karnad, Anuradha Krishnamoorthy, Rajeev, Rekha, Yugendran and Madhura, playing supporting roles. The music was composed by Bhavatharini with cinematography by K. V. Mani and editing by V. T. Vijayan. The film released on 10 February 2006.

Thozhi is a 2009 Tamil language romantic drama film directed by Elango Lakshman. The film stars Prabha and newcomer Dwaraka, Shyam Ganesh and Manikka Vinayagam, with Tirupur Selvaraj, Bharath, Venkat and Vijaya Manohari playing supporting roles. The film, produced by K. Manickavasakam, was released on 11 December 2009.
