Armando is the first Spanish album and fifth studio album by Cuban-American rapper Pitbull. [8] [9] It was released on November 2, 2010 through Mr. 305 Inc. and Sony Latino. [10] The album features production by multiple producers including Afrojack, DJ Buddha, DJ Antoine, Clinton Sparks and DJ Snake.

Contents

Armando spawned four singles: "Watagatapitusberry", "Maldito Alcohol", "Bon, Bon" and "Tu Cuerpo". The singles received airplay on Spanish radio and in Latin American countries. "Guantanamera (She's Hot)" would be reissued nearly fifteen years later on Trackhouse (Daytona 500 Edition) given a spike in popularity as a result of a TikTok trend. [11] According to a review by Allmusic, the album is named after Pitbull's father (and also, his real name). Armando won the Lo Nuestro Award for Urban Album of the Year. [12]

It heavily samples the song "We No Speak Americano" by Yolanda Be Cool & DCUP, which itself samples the 1956 Italian song "Tu vuò fà l'americano" by Renato Carosone, a hit earlier in the year, but it was later known that the version of "We No Speak Americano" used was a bootleg remix done by DJ Alvaro. Pitbull later gave credit to Alvaro and promised that they were looking forward to making more songs together. The single peaked at number 61 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the US Top Latin Songs.

Nayer Regalado, known mononymously as Nayer, is an American singer. She gained recognition in 2011 after being featured on Pitbull's hit single "Give Me Everything", and releasing her single "Suave " featuring Pitbull and Mohombi which was a success in Europe and the Middle East. Her other known collaborations include songs with Ne-Yo, Enrique Iglesias, Lil Wayne, Usher, Fonseca, Juan Magan, Yomil, Jean-Roch and Melissa.

This is the discography of Dutch DJ and record producer Afrojack. His song "Take Over Control", which features Dutch singer Eva Simons, charted in 10 different countries. He released his debut EP Lost & Found on December 22, 2010. In 2011, he was featured on Pitbull's number 1 hit single "Give Me Everything" along with Ne-Yo and Nayer. He also contributed to the single "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyoncé, who initially did not include his credits on the track but was eventually forced to do so after Afrojack filed a case against her.
