Arnaud Casquette (born 16 April 1978) is a Mauritian long jumper.

He finished seventh at the 2002 Commonwealth Games [1] and fifth at the 2006 African Championships. He won the silver medal at the 2007 All-Africa Games. He also competed at the IAAF World Championships in 2001 and 2007 as well as the Olympic Games in 1996 and 2000. He was qualified for the 2008 Olympics, but did not compete because of injury.

Casquette is considered one of the greatest high level sportsman that Mauritius has ever produced thanks to his successful competitive streak at the international level. He has participated in many international athletics competitions around the world and won numerous gold medals for Mauritius. He was trained at the HPTC (CIAD) in Dakar Senegal from 1999 to 2005 and then joined another high performance training centre in Malaysia for a few years before ending his career due to injury.

In 2001, he reached the World Championships semi-finals of the 4x100m relay in Edmonton, Canada and he currently holds the Mauritian record in the 4x100m relay with a time of 38.99 seconds, together with Stephan Buckland, Eric Milazar and Fernando Augustin. He also won a gold medal at the Francophone Games in Ottawa, Canada in the 4x100m relay event with Buckland, Milazar and Augustin. He was the former record holder in the long jump event for Mauritius. His personal best jump is 8.23 metres, achieved in July 2003 in Sestriere. The Mauritian record is currently held by Jonathan Chimier with 8.28 metres. [2]

Asha Solette Philip is an English sprinter and former junior gymnast specialising in double mini-trampoline. At the 2005 Jeux de la Francophonie, the athletics events were held at the Stade Général Seyni Kountché in Niamey, Niger, from 11–16 December 2005. A total of 43 events were contested, of which 23 by male and 20 by female athletes. France sent the largest squad and topped the medal table with 19 gold medals and 39 medals in total. Morocco was the next most successful nation, having won 11 golds and 31 medals altogether. This was large as a result of their middle- and long-distance running dominance which saw them take all three medals in four events, as well as three separate Moroccan 1–2 finishes. Canada and the Ivory Coast were third and fourth in the medal tally. Twenty of the 37 nations competing won a medal, although hosts Niger went empty-handed in the athletics competition.

Nethaneel Joseph Mitchell-Blake is a British sprinter who specialises in the 200 metres. He was the 2013 European Junior Champion and his personal best of 19.95 seconds ranks him as the second-fastest in Britain of all-time in the event. He is only the second Briton, after Adam Gemili to break both 10 seconds for 100 metres and 20 seconds for 200 metres. Part of the Great Britain 4 x 100-metre relay team that won the World title in 2017, he won his first major individual honour, a silver medal, in the individual 200 metres at the 2018 European Athletics Championships before claiming another relay title running for Great Britain, the eventual gold medalists, in the heats of the 4 x 100 metres.On 18 February 2022 it was announced that Nethaneel and his teammates CJ Ujah, Zharnel Hughes and Richard Kilty would be stripped of their 4 × 100 metres relay 2020 Summer Olympics silver medals after the Court of Arbitration for Sport found CJ Ujah guilty of a doping violation.
