Jonathan James Chimier (born 6 August 1982) is a Mauritian long jumper who won the 2004 African Championships in Athletics.

Contents

His personal best jump is 8.28 metres, achieved while competing in the 2004 Summer Olympics. This is the Mauritian record. He is also a sprinter and competes mainly in the 60 metres. He holds the Mauritian record in the event with a time of 6.68 seconds ahead of Stephan Buckland's 6.72.

The Maldives competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. Zango competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, in the triple jump event, the first ever Olympic medal for Burkina Faso. This made him the first ever Mauritian athlete to break 20 seconds in the event. He also competed at the 2019 and 2023 African Games.
