Jonathan James Chimier (born 6 August 1982) is a Mauritian long jumper who won the 2004 African Championships in Athletics.
His personal best jump is 8.28 metres, achieved while competing in the 2004 Summer Olympics. This is the Mauritian record. He is also a sprinter and competes mainly in the 60 metres. He holds the Mauritian record in the event with a time of 6.68 seconds ahead of Stephan Buckland's 6.72.

The Maldives competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece, from 13 to 29 August 2004. The delegation's participation in the Athens Olympics marked the Maldives' fifth appearance at the Summer Olympics since their debut at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. Four athletes competed across two sports; Sultan Saeed and Shifana Ali in track and field, and Hassan Mubah and Aminath Rouya Hussain in swimming. None of the track or swimming athletes advanced past the first round in their events, and no Maldivian has won a medal in any events. Sultan Saeed bore the Maldives' flag during the parade of nations of the opening ceremony.

Coiffic is the third fastest 200m sprinter in Mauritius with a time of 20.89 seconds behind Stephan Buckland's 20.06 seconds and Eric Milazar's 20.66 seconds achieved respectively in Paris, France and La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
Caroline Fournier is a retired Mauritian athlete who competed in the discus and hammer throw. She represented her country at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney without reaching the final. She was a two-time African champion in the hammer throw and was also a gold medallist at the 1999 All-Africa Games. Fournier also was twice runner-up in the discus at the African Championships and once runner-up in the hammer.
Jonathan Olivier Permal is a Mauritian track and field athlete competing in the 100 metres and 200 metres. At the 2013 Jeux de la Francophonie, he won a bronze medal in the 200 m. Jean Patrick Jonathan Drack is a Mauritian athlete specialising in the triple jump. He represented his country at the 2015 World Championships in Beijing finishing eleventh. He also competed at the previous edition in Moscow but without qualifying for the final.
Hugues Fabrice Zango is a Burkinabé athlete who specialises in the triple jump and the long jump. He is the world indoor record holder in the triple jump with a jump of 18.07 m set in 2021 and the reigning world champion, winning the gold medal in the triple jump at the 2023 World Championships. Zango competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and won the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, in the triple jump event, the first ever Olympic medal for Burkina Faso. He has also competed in World Championships, two African athletics championships, a Jeux de la Francophonie, two Summer Universiades and two African Games. He became Burkina Faso's first-ever Olympic medalist, earning a bronze medal in Tokyo, and set the African triple jump record at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha.
Ndodomzi Jonathan Ntutu is a visually impaired South African sprinter. Ndodomzi Jonathan Ntutu is currently South Africa's fastest ever para-athlete. His 10.80 was posted on April 12, 2018, during the heats of the Commonwealth Games. Competing in the T12 classification, Ntutu has competed at three Summer Paralympic Games, winning bronze in the 2012 Games in London. He is also a multiple World Championships winner, taking five medals over four tournaments.

This made him the first ever Mauritian athlete to break 20 seconds in the event. He also competed at the 2019 and 2023 African Games.
