Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois in 1995. The band was originally composed of brothers: Pete Loeffler, Sam Loeffler and Joe Loeffler. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed-in as the bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini.
This Type of Thinking is the third studio album and second major label release by American alternative metal band Chevelle. Peaking at No. 8, it charted higher on the Billboard 200 than its predecessor, Wonder What's Next; however, the album didn't manage to match its predecessor's commercial success, but was certified gold. This Type of Thinking follows generally the same heavy style as Wonder What's Next with popular singles like "Vitamin R" and "The Clincher". It would be the first of two records produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette. This was also the final album featuring bassist Joe Loeffler, who departed from the band in 2005.
Point #1 is the debut album of American alternative metal band Chevelle, released May 4, 1999. It is the only Chevelle album released by Squint Entertainment and their only collaboration with producer Steve Albini. Many of the tracks on this album were based on material from unreleased songs the band had previously recorded. The term "Vena Sera" is Latin for "vein liquids", or "blood".
Dean Bernardini is the bass guitarist and backing vocalist for the rock band Chevelle. He joined the band in 2005 after the departure of Joe Loeffler, who had been a member of the group since 1995. Bernardini is also a noted visual artist and woodworker; the cover of the 2009 album Sci-Fi Crimes was an original 24x48 oil on canvas painting by Bernardini, and he also supplied an original oil on canvas painting for the band's 2012 album Stray Arrows: A Collection of Favorites.

It was their second number-one hit on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and reached number three on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. In interviews, it has been stated that "Vitamin R" is Ritalin. The song was written about a friend of the Loeffler brothers, who was misdiagnosed with ADHD, and developed an addiction to Ritalin.

He formerly served as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Boston College. He was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Virginia Tech, having previously held the same role at Auburn University under head coach Gene Chizik. Prior to joining Auburn, Loeffler served as offensive coordinator for Temple. He has spent over a decade coaching quarterbacks, primarily in the Big Ten and Southeastern conferences. On November 28, 2018, Loefller was named head coach at BGSU.
