It is an estrogen ester, specifically, an ester of estradiol. It is administered by intramuscular injection and a single 10 mg dose has been said to have a duration of action of 2 to 3 weeks. The excretion of EBA in women has been studied.

It consists of fragmentary scenes and dreamlike imagery, with a focus on problems related to a lack of privacy and imagination in the digital age. Ithaka is a 1996 play by the German writer Botho Strauß. It has the subtitle Schauspiel nach den Heimkehr-Gesängen der Odyssee, meaning "play after the homecoming songs from the Odyssey".
