Athena Air Services was a planned airline based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia in the early 2000s. It proposed to operate scheduled, domestic and international passenger services. [1]

History

The airline company was established in 2003 and intended to start its operations on 18 November 2003. It was owned jointly by Athena Sdn Bhd and PT Avipatria. [1] In 2004 it was considered by analysts as a small budget airline worth watching, with plans for expansion, but restricted by lack of a website for bookings. [2] The airline ceased in 2016. [3]

Services

Athena Air Services originally projected to operate flights to Jakarta and Surabaya from Senai International Airport. [1]

Founded in 1988, it offers scheduled flights to both domestic and international destinations. Tigerair budget airline

Tiger Airways Singapore Pte Ltd, operating as Tigerair, was a budget airline headquartered in Singapore. It operated services to regional destinations in Southeast Asia, Bangladesh, Taiwan, China and India from its main base at Singapore Changi Airport. It was founded as an independent airline in 2003, and was listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange under the Tiger Airways Holdings name in 2010. In October 2014, parent company Tiger Airways Holdings became a subsidiary of the SIA Group, who took a 56% ownership stake.

Air Norway airline

Air Norway AS was a virtual, regional airline with its head office in the town of Brekstad, the administrative centre of the municipality of Ørland, in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It operated seven round trips a week from its hub at Ørland Airport to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, and a single, weekly round trip from Oslo to Aalborg Airport, Denmark, using a wet lease Fairchild Metro aircraft from North Flying. The airline was established in 2003. Following the bankruptcy of Coast Air in January 2008, the airline stepped in and was serving Fagernes Airport, Leirin with two daily flights to Oslo, and one daily flight to Trondheim, but these were terminated in 2009.

Tiger Airways Holdings

Tiger Airways Holdings Limited was a Singapore-based holding company for a group of low-cost carriers operating in the Asia-Pacific region. It was formed in 2007 to allow for easier management of the airline subsidiaries, as well as any future expansion, without having to focus on operational issues, leaving those to the airlines themselves. In 2016, Singapore Airlines purchased the company and it was delisted from the Singapore Exchange.

RwandAir Limited is the flag carrier airline of Rwanda. It operates domestic and international services to East Africa, Central Africa, West Africa, Southern Africa, Europe the Middle East and Asia, from its main base at Kigali International Airport in Kigali.
