Constructed in the mid-19th century, it experienced a radical transformation near the end of the century under the direction of a leading regional architect. This French-style residence has been named a historic site.

The Tariffville Historic District is a 93 acres (38 ha) historic district in the town of Simsbury, Connecticut. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993. It is part of the Tariffville section of Simsbury. The district includes 165 contributing buildings and two contributing sites. It also includes 26 non-contributing buildings and 4 non-contributing sites. There are several houses in the district of Gothic Revival style, probably following designs from pattern books of architect Andrew Jackson Downing. The Trinity Episcopal Church is the only building in the district designed by an architect of national standing, namely Henry C. Dudley. Many of the homes in the area were built by the Tariff Manufacturing Company, which opened a carpet mill along the Farmington River, and needed housing for workers.
Hallville Mill Historic District is a historic district in the town of Preston, Connecticut, that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996. Contributing properties in the district are 23 buildings, two other contributing structures, and one other contributing site over a 50-acre (20 ha) area. The district includes the dam that forms Hallville Pond, historic manufacturing buildings and worker housing, and the Hallville Mill Bridge, a lenticular pony truss bridge built circa 1890 by the Berlin Iron Bridge Company.
The Crosley–Garrett Mill Workers' Housing, Store, and Mill Site, also known as Paper Mill House and the William Crosley Store and Mill Workers' House, is a historic mill-related complex located on Darby Creek in Newtown Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania. The complex consists of a four-family stone Workers' Housing unit (1828), with an attached store (1845), and the archaeological remains of William Crosley's Woolen Mill (1828-1861) and Casper S. Garrett's Union Paper Mill (1869-1889).
Upper Roxborough Historic District is a national historic district located in Philadelphia and Whitemarsh Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It encompasses 108 contributing buildings, 23 contributing sites, and 18 contributing structures in Upper Roxborough. The district includes a number of small scale farm and industrial workers' housing, estate houses, mill-owners' dwellings, and farm buildings. Notable buildings include the Shawmont Railroad Station (1834), Miquon Station designed by Frank Furness (1910), Riverside Paper Mills, Hagy's Mill ruin, St. Mary's Church, and "Fairview" and other buildings on the grounds of the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education. The Roxborough Pumping Station was also part of the district, but it was demolished in 2011 after sitting abandoned for over fifty years.

It encompasses twelve contributing buildings, one contributing site, and four contributing structures on seven properties that lie along County Road 261. Notable buildings include the Speakman's grist mill, saw mill, and adjoining stone house; and a number of frame dwellings in a variety of popular mid to late 19th-century architectural styles including Gothic Revival. The contributing site is the Mt. Cuba picnic grounds.

The district encompasses 31 contributing buildings, including the 14 buildings previously listed in the Garrett Snuff Mill. The 17 additional buildings are 19th century domestic buildings associated with the mills. They include the mill owner's and supervisor's houses, a late Victorian frame house, and four rows of workers' housing.

Fieldale Historic District is a national historic district located at Fieldale, Henry County, Virginia. The district encompasses 329 contributing buildings and 2 contributing structures in the town of Fieldale. The majority of the buildings were built after 1916-1917 by the Marshall Field and Company as workers housing for the Fieldcrest Mills. Other notable buildings and structures include the Fieldcrest Mills Complex with the upper mill, lower mill, gatehouse, warehouse, water infiltration plant, and welder's shop; Danville & Western Station; Route 701 Bridge; Bank of Fieldale/Post Office; Fieldale Café (Fieldale Grocery; former Theater/Drug Store; Ramona's Dress Shop/Wilson's Grocery Store; Fieldale Elementary School ; Fieldale High School ; Fieldale Community Center ; Fieldale Hotel, and Fieldale Baptist Church. The former gas station building that houses Peggy's Antiques was built by the Lustron Manufacturing Company. Also located in the district and separately listed are the Marshall Field and Company Clubhouse and Virginia Home.

It is 156.9 acres (63.5 ha) in area and includes 478 contributing buildings. It is roughly bounded by NW Lovejoy St., NW Marshall St., NW 17th Ave., W. Burnside St., and NW 24th Ave.
Boykin Mill Complex, also known as Mill Tract Plantation, is a national historic district located near Camden, Kershaw County, South Carolina. The district encompasses nine contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and four contributing structures. “Boykin Mill” denotes a community which consists of an old post office, an old general store, a c. 1905 grist mill, mill pond, mill dam, gates, and canals. The community also includes an early 19th-century Greek Revival style Baptist church, one mid-19th-century residence, three 20th-century residences built for mill workers, and a smoke house. An American Civil War battle site is also a part of the Boykin Mill community. The Battle of Boykin's Mill took place on April 17, 1865.
Auburn Valley State Park is a state park, located in Yorklyn, Delaware, United States. The park, which is around 360 acres, preserves the former home and estate of the Marshall family as well as portions of the family's former mills alongside the Red Clay Creek and additional land purchased by the state. The preserve contains several miles of trails open to walking and biking, including a 1.2 mile paved loop. The state owns conservation easements on 160 acres of privately owned land adjacent to the park to help maintain the park's rural character.
