Auchenflower Ward was a Brisbane City Council ward covering Auchenflower and surrounding suburbs. Auchenflower Ward was established at or before the 1976 election. [1] [2] The ward was abolished for the 1985 election, being replaced by the new Taringa Ward and second Paddington Ward. The ward was represented by Denver Beanland from 1976 to its abolishment in 1985. [2] [3]

Maiwar is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland, incorporating the inner western suburbs of Brisbane. It was created in the 2017 redistribution, and was first contested at the 2017 Queensland state election. The name of the electorate is stated by the government as being based on an Aboriginal name for the Brisbane River, however it is not the name that the Turrbal people who lived in the Brisbane region had for the river. The Brisbane River forms the southern boundary of the electorate.
Elections to East Kilbride District Council were held on 7 May 1992, on the same day as the other Scottish local government elections. This was the final election to the district council which was abolished in 1995 along with Hamilton District Council and Clydesdale District Council and, combined with part of the abolished City of Glasgow District Council, was replaced by South Lanarkshire Council following the implementation of the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994. The regional council, Strathclyde, was also abolished and the new unitary authority took on its responsibilities.
