It is a part of the Aurangabad (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other assembly constituencies, viz Vaijapur (Assembly constituency), Gangapur (Assembly constituency), Aurangabad East (Vidhan Sabha constituency), Kannad (Vidhan Sabha constituency) and Aurangabad Central (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (SC) [1]
