Babice (German : Bowitz) is a municipality and village in Prachatice District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 200 inhabitants.
Babice lies approximately 17 kilometres (11 mi) east of Prachatice, 20 km (12 mi) west of České Budějovice, and 119 km (74 mi) south of Prague.
Babice is located north of Blanský les in the valley of the Lužický potok.
Neighbouring villages are Hlodačky to the north, Mahouš to the northeast, Zvěřetice and Sedlovice to the east, Radošovice and Strýčice to the southeast, Chvalovice to the south, Dolní Chrášťany to the southeast and Lužice and Netolice to the northwest.
