Village of Bachevo is located in South-Western planning region of Bulgaria. It is part of Razlog Municipality, Blagoevgrad Province. [3] Situated at South-western Bulgaria in the Razlog Valley (6 km. north-western from Razlog town, 52 km. south-eastern from Blagoevgrad city, and 156 km. south from capital Sofia), the name Bacheva (Бачева in Bulgarian) is first mentioned in 1576 in the 8th register of the dzhelepkeshans (shepherd). [1]

Bayuvi Dupki–Dzhindzhiritsa Biosphere reserve in Bulgaria

Bayuvi Dupki–Dzhindzhiritsa, also spelled Doupki–Djindjiritza, is a nature reserve in Pirin National Park, located in the homonymous mountain range in south-western Bulgaria. It is situated in Razlog Municipality, Blagoevgrad Province. Bayuvi Dupki–Dzhindzhiritsa is among the nation's oldest reserves, declared in 1934 to protect the forests of Macedonian pine and Bosnian pine, both Balkan endemic species. Its territory was further expanded in 1976 and 1980 and spans an area of 2873 ha or 28,73 km2. It was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1977. The reserve encompasses territory between 1200 and 2907 m altitude. Geologically it is dominated by Proterozoic marbles and has extensive karst terrain with numerous caves and karst formations.

Momina Klisura (Mesta)

Momina Klisura is a steep valley along the river Mesta in south-western Bulgaria, stretching about 25 km. Administratively, it is situated in the municipalities of Bansko and Gotse Delchev, Blagoevgrad Province. According to the legend, the gorge was named after a maiden, who fought the Ottoman Turks defending the fortress of Momina Kula and plunged into the abyss upon seeing that the stronghold was about to fall.
