The Badaling Expressway is an expressway in China which links urban Beijing to the Badaling stretch of the Great Wall of China. It continues toward Yanqing and leaves Beijing, becoming the Jingzhang Expressway.
Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Beijing's city center, in Yanqing District. The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou (北八樓), approximately 1,015 meters (3,330 ft) above sea level.
Yanqing District, formerly known as Yanqing County before 2015, is a district of the municipality of Beijing located northwest of the city proper of Beijing. The district consists of 3 subdistricts, 11 towns and 4 townships, and borders the Beijing districts of Huairou to the east and Changping to the south as well as the Hebei counties of Huailai to the west and Chicheng to the north. The district hosted the Expo 2019, and hosted alpine skiing, bobsled, luge and skeleton during the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Qinghe railway station is a railway station in Beijing. The old station began its construction in 1905 and opened in 1906. The station closed on October 31, 2016, to be rebuilt into a new high-speed railway station on the Beijing-Baotou Passenger-Dedicated Line opened on December 30, 2019.

Line S2 of Beijing Suburban Railway (BCR) is a commuter rail line in Beijing. The main line runs from Huangtudian railway station in Changping District to Yanqing railway station in Yanqing District, following the old Beijing–Baotou railway, and provides faster, more frequent and convenient service than preexisting trains. The line is 108.3 kilometres (67.3 mi) in length. The train locomotives are marked "Great Wall".

The Beijing–Zhangjiakou intercity railway, also known as the Jingzhang intercity railway, Jingzhang high speed railway, Jingzhang section of Beijing-Baotou PDL, is a high-speed railway between Beijing and Zhangjiakou in Hebei province, China. The line was opened on 30 December 2019, and is the world's first driverless high speed railway, shortening the traveling time from Beijing to Zhangjiakou from 3 hours 7 minutes to 47 minutes. It forms part of both the Beijing–Lanzhou corridor and the Beijing–Zhangjiakou–Datong–Taiyuan branch of the Beijing–Kunming corridor.
Zhengzhou railway station is a passenger railway station in Erqi District, Zhengzhou, Henan. It is located in the city center, about 1 km southwest to the Erqi Memorial Tower. As the junction of the important Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Longhai Railway, the station is one of the busiest in China, and is called as "the heart of Chinese railway network".
Yanqing railway station is the terminus of the Yanqing branch of the Line S2 of the Beijing Suburban Railway. Yanqing railway station was used as a freight station since 1983, and in 2003 it closed due to the fall of shipments. In 2008, the station finished its first renovation and resumed passenger services. From 2019, a new station hall began construction for the coming Winter Olympics. Since 1 December 2020, The new station hall as well as Yanqing branch of Beijing–Zhangjiakou intercity railway begin serve the station.
Beijing–Tangshan intercity railway is a high-speed railway connecting Beijing and Tangshan in eastern Hebei. From Beijing Sub-Center railway station to Baodi South railway station, the Beijing–Binhai intercity railway will share its northern segment with the Beijing–Tangshan intercity railway before continuing southeast-ward to Binhai West railway station.
The Beijing–Zhangjiakou Railway or Jingzhang Railway, also known as the Imperial Peking–Kalgan Railway, is China’s first railway that has been designed and built solely by Chinese, situated in the nation’s capital Beijing and Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province. It was built in 1905–1909 under the proposal of Viceroy of Zhili Yuan Shikai (袁世凯) and Assistant Director-General of Railways Hu Yufen (胡燏棻), with Zhan Tianyou (詹天佑) or Jeme Tien Yow as engineer-in-chief. When building the railway, Zhan reduced the length of Badaling Tunnel by using a switchback—or “人”-shaped rail track called in China as the shape of it resembles the Chinese character “人” ; he also used vertical shafts to facilitate the excavation of the tunnel.
Beijing Sub-Center railway station, also known as Beijingchengshifuzhongxin railway station, is a railway station in the sub-administrative center area, Tongzhou District, Beijing. This integrated transportation hub (ITH) started construction on 30 November 2019 to build the largest underground one in Asia opening in late 2024.
Changping North railway station, also known as Changpingbei railway station, is a railway station in the Gulou North Street in the urban area of Changping District, Beijing. The old station started to build in 1976 and opened on 1 May 1980 with the whole Beijing–Tongliao railway. All services were stopped between June to October in 2016 to rebuild a new station. On 1 November 2016, the new station opened, with its waiting hall expanded to 2,987 square metres (32,150 sq ft). This station became the new terminal of all long-distance trains whose used terminal was Beijing North railway station. On 31 December 2017, the suburban railway Huairou-Miyun line opened, and this station started to offer services for suburban railway passengers.
Taizicheng railway station, is a railway station in the Taizicheng, Chongli District, Zhangjiakou, Hebei. This station is the terminal of Chongli railway, and are only 2 km away from the Olympic Village center. The station hall started construction on August 2018 to build a high-speed railway station on the Chongli railway opened on Dec 30, 2019.
