Badaling Great Wall railway station [1] (Chinese :八达岭长城站; pinyin :Bādálǐng chángchéng zhàn), also translated as Badalingchangcheng railway station, is a railway station in Badaling scenic area, Yanqing District, Beijing. The station hall started construction on 30 November 2018 to build an underground high-speed railway station on the Beijing–Zhangjiakou intercity railway (Part of Beijing–Baotou Passenger-Dedicated Line) opened on 30 December 2019. [3]
The total floorage of the station is 49,000 square metres (530,000 sq ft), including 9,000 square metres (97,000 sq ft) overground station building and 40,000 square metres (430,000 sq ft) underground track area and platform area. The platforms and the station building are beneath the Great Wall and located 60 metres (200 ft) below the surface, making it the deepest high-speed railway station in the world. [4] The architectural design manages to extend the mountain and the natural landscape within the resort itself. [5]
This station is designed by AREP and China Railway Engineering Consulting Group, and constructed by China Railway 5th Engineering Group. On 23 August 2019 , the station building successfully capped, marking the completion of all station buildings on Jingzhang HSR.
The Badaling Expressway is an expressway in China which links urban Beijing to the Badaling stretch of the Great Wall of China. It continues toward Yanqing and leaves Beijing, becoming the Jingzhang Expressway.
Badaling is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Beijing's city center, in Yanqing District. The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. From Beijing Sub-Center railway station to Baodi South railway station, the Beijing–Binhai intercity railway will share its northern segment with the Beijing–Tangshan intercity railway before continuing southeast-ward to Binhai West railway station.
The Beijing–Zhangjiakou Railway or Jingzhang Railway, also known as the Imperial Peking–Kalgan Railway, is China’s first railway that has been designed and built solely by Chinese, situated in the nation’s capital Beijing and Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province. It was built in 1905–1909 under the proposal of Viceroy of Zhili Yuan Shikai (袁世凯) and Assistant Director-General of Railways Hu Yufen (胡燏棻), with Zhan Tianyou (詹天佑) or Jeme Tien Yow as engineer-in-chief. When building the railway, Zhan reduced the length of Badaling Tunnel by using a switchback—or “人”-shaped rail track called in China as the shape of it resembles the Chinese character “人” ; he also used vertical shafts to facilitate the excavation of the tunnel.

This integrated transportation hub (ITH) started construction on 30 November 2019 to build the largest underground one in Asia opening in late 2024.
Changping North railway station, also known as Changpingbei railway station, is a railway station in the Gulou North Street in the urban area of Changping District, Beijing. The old station started to build in 1976 and opened on 1 May 1980 with the whole Beijing–Tongliao railway. All services were stopped between June to October in 2016 to rebuild a new station. On 1 November 2016, the new station opened, with its waiting hall expanded to 2,987 square metres (32,150 sq ft). This station became the new terminal of all long-distance trains whose used terminal was Beijing North railway station. On 31 December 2017, the suburban railway Huairou-Miyun line opened, and this station started to offer services for suburban railway passengers.
Taizicheng railway station, is a railway station in the Taizicheng, Chongli District, Zhangjiakou, Hebei. This station is the terminal of Chongli railway, and are only 2 km away from the Olympic Village center. The station hall started construction on August 2018 to build a high-speed railway station on the Chongli railway opened on Dec 30, 2019.
