Badbea is the ninth solo album by the Scottish singer-songwriter Edwyn Collins, released on 29 March 2019 on AED Records.
Philip David Charles Collins is an English drummer, singer, record producer, songwriter and actor. He is best known as the drummer/singer of the rock band Genesis and for his solo career. Between 1982 and 1990, Collins achieved three UK and seven US number-one singles in his solo career. When his work with Genesis, his work with other artists, as well as his solo career is totalled, he had more US top 40 singles than any other artist during the 1980s. His most successful singles from the period include "In the Air Tonight", "I Don't Care Anymore", "Against All Odds ", "One More Night", "Sussudio", "Take Me Home", "Two Hearts", "A Groovy Kind of Love", "I Wish It Would Rain Down", and "Another Day in Paradise".
The Proclaimers are a Scottish rock duo formed in 1983 by twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid, who were born on 5 March 1962. They came to attention with their 1987 single "Letter from America", which reached No. 3 in the United Kingdom, and the 1988 single "I'm Gonna Be ", which topped charts in Australia, Iceland and New Zealand. The Proclaimers have sold over 5 million albums worldwide.

Teenage Fanclub are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in Bellshill near Glasgow in 1989. Empire Records is a 1995 American coming-of-age comedy-drama film directed by Allan Moyle, starring Anthony LaPaglia, Maxwell Caulfield, Debi Mazar, Rory Cochrane, Johnny Whitworth, Robin Tunney, Renée Zellweger, and Liv Tyler. The film follows a group of record store employees over the course of one exceptional day. The employees try to stop the store from being sold to a large chain, and learn about each other along the way. We Are Little Barrie is the debut album from Little Barrie, released in 2005. They recorded the album over 23 weeks at producer Edwyn Collins’ West Heath Studios. Among the gear used in the studio were a ’62 Gibson ES-330, a Traynor Studio Mate, a Gretsch Chet Atkins and a Fender ’69 Vibralux 2x10. The mics were mostly old Neumanns—although the odd [Shure] SM57 was used, as well.

It is a power ballad in which its protagonist implores an ex-lover to "take a look at me now", knowing that reconciliation is "against all odds" while considering it worth trying. The single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States, the first of seven US No. 1's for Collins in his solo career. "Against All Odds " also topped the charts in Canada, Ireland, and Norway, while peaking at No. 2 in the United Kingdom.

In 2014, they worked together on the soundtrack to the film The Possibilities Are Endless which won the Mojo 'Film of the Year' Award.

The song was written by Terrorvision and produced by Edwyn Collins. "Josephine" reached No. 23 in the UK Singles Chart and remained in the Top 100 for two weeks. The song's music video was directed by Tomas Masin.
