Jinnah Sports Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Islamabad, Pakistan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium has a capacity of 49,000 people and is the largest stadium in Pakistan.
The Nigeria national badminton team represents Nigeria in international badminton team competitions. It is managed by the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, the governing body of badminton in Nigeria. Nigeria was one of the seven African countries that formed the Badminton Confederation of Africa on 31 August 1977. The country first competed in the African Badminton Championships in 1980.
Handball in India is controlled by the Handball Association India. It was founded by Jagat Singh Lohan from Rohtak, Haryana, who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras. His efforts during Munich Olympics helped in establishing HFI. The member states were Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Vidharbha and Jammu and Kashmir. He was also elected as first secretary general of Handball Federation of India.
Srikanth Kidambi is an Indian badminton player. A former world no. 1, Kidambi was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian award, in 2018. and the Arjuna award in 2015. In 2021, he became the first Indian to reach the World Championship final in the men's singles discipline.
Shi Yuqi is a Chinese badminton player. Shi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. At the 2017 All England Open, he defeated 6-time champion Lin Dan to reach the final, and repeated the same feat again at the 2018 All England Open, where he outclassed Lin Dan in the tournament final. He also won a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
Aaron Chia Teng Fong is a Malaysian badminton player. He and his partner Soh Wooi Yik became the first ever world badminton champions from Malaysia after winning the men's doubles title at the 2022 World Championships. Together, they also won a gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games, a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Championships, as well as bronze medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 World Championships, and 2022 Asian Games.
Muhammad Irfan Saeed Bhatti is a Pakistani badminton player. He competed at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. He was the men's doubles champion at the 2016 All Pakistan National ranking tournament. He also the runner-up at Pakistan International tournament in the singles and doubles events. Teamed-up with Azeem Sarwar, they won the men's doubles title at the Nepal Annapurna International Badminton Championship. He was the bronze medalists at the 2016 South Asian Games in the men's singles and team events.
Soh Wooi Yik is a Malaysian badminton player. He and his partner Aaron Chia became the first ever world badminton champions from Malaysia after winning the men's doubles title at the 2022 World Championships. Together, they also won a gold medal at the 2019 SEA Games, a silver medal at the 2022 Asian Championships, as well as bronze medals at the 2020 Summer Olympics, 2022 Commonwealth Games, 2023 World Championships and 2022 Asian Games.
Badminton at the 2019 South Asian Games was held in Badminton Covered Hall in Pokhara, Nepal between 1 and 6 December 2019. The badminton programme in 2019 included men's and women's singles competitions; men's, women's and mixed doubles competitions along with men's and women's team events. A total of 94 players from seven countries competed in the competition for 7 gold, 7 silver, and 14 bronze medals.
Pakistan competed in the 2019 South Asian Games in Kathmandu and Pokhara, Nepal from 1 to 10 December 2019. It participated in Tennis, Table Tennis, Athletics, Handball, Taekwondo, Kabbadi, Badminton, Swimming, Karate, Wrestling, Weightlifting, Boxing, Squash, Volleyball, Judo and Wushu.

Moqaddas Ashraf is a Pakistani professional squash player. As of November 2020, she is ranked number 133 in the world.
The Bhutan national badminton team represents Bhutan in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Bhutan Badminton Federation, the national governing body for Bhutanese badminton.
The Cambodia national badminton team represents Cambodia in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Cambodia Badminton Federation. Cambodia have never competed in any BWF organized team tournaments.
The Afghanistan national badminton team represents Afghanistan in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Badminton Federation of Afghanistan and competes under the South Asian region. Afghanistan competed in the Asian Games individual event. The Afghan junior team has competed in the BWF World Junior Championships mixed team event, also known as the Suhandinata Cup. The team finished in 34th place.
The women's team badminton event at the 2019 South Asian Games was held from 1 to 2 December at the Badminton Covered Hall in Pokhara.
