The Pakistan national badminton team (Urdu : پاکستان کی قومی بیڈمنٹن ٹیم) represents Pakistan in international badminton team competitions. [1] [2] It is controlled by the Pakistan Badminton Federation, the governing body for badminton in Pakistan. The national team was established in 1953.
Pakistan had only appeared in the international stage three times as they were eliminated in the group stage in the 1993, 1995 and 1997 edition of the Sudirman Cup.
The nation would make its first badminton debut in the Olympics when national player Mahoor Shahzad represented the country in the women's singles discipline. [3]
The team would later participate in the 2022 Commonwealth Games mixed team event through a bipartite invitation.

The Netherlands national badminton team represents the Netherlands in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by Badminton Nederland. The Dutch women's team had enjoyed success in the 2000s as the team were runners-up at the 2006 Uber Cup and were champions at the 2006 European Women's Team Badminton Championships when they beat England.
The India national badminton team represents India in international team badminton and is governed by the Badminton Association of India. The men's team has won the Thomas Cup in 2022, while the women's team have been semifinalists twice at the Uber Cup in 2014 and 2016. The Indian team competed in the 2011 Sudirman Cup and shared the fifth rank with three other teams, what is up to now the best performance in the Sudirman Cup and also repeated the performance in 2017.
The Chinese Taipei national badminton team is a badminton team that represents Republic of China (Taiwan) in international badminton team competitions. The national team was formed in 1973. The Chinese Taipei women's team finished as semifinalists at the 2006 Uber Cup.
The Philippines national badminton team represents the Philippines in international badminton competitions. It is controlled by the Philippine Badminton Association. Nicknamed Smash Pilipinas, The Filipino team won bronze in the men's and women's team events at the Southeast Asian Games, in 1987 and 1981 respectively.
The Ukraine national badminton team represents Ukraine in international badminton team competitions. Ukraine participated in the Thomas Cup, the Uber Cup and the Sudirman Cup as part of the Soviet Union. After the abolishment of the USSR in 1991, the Ukrainian Badminton Federation was formed and the national team has been competing under the Ukrainian flag ever since.
The Brazil national badminton team represents Brazil in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Brazil Badminton Confederation. Brazil is one of South America's most active badminton nations, with its mixed team participating four times in the Sudirman Cup.
The Spain national badminton team represents Spain in international badminton team competitions. The Spanish team have never participated in the Thomas Cup but have been in the Uber Cup and Sudirman Cup.
The Finland national badminton team represents Finland in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by Badminton Finland, the national organization for badminton in Finland.
The Peru national badminton team represents Peru in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Peruvian Sports Federation of Badminton. The Peruvian mixed team were champions at the 1993 Pan Am Badminton Championships. This qualified them for the Sudirman Cup. The mixed team would continue to compete in the Sudirman Cup until 2011.
The Soviet Union national badminton team represented the Soviet Union in international badminton team competitions. The Soviet national team have only participated twice in the international events, namely the Sudirman Cup. The team's last ever competition was the 1991 Sudirman Cup, months before the USSR was dissolved.
The Switzerland national badminton team represents Switzerland in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by Swiss Badminton, Switzerland's governing body for badminton. The Swiss national team debuted in the Sudirman Cup in 1991. The men's and women's team debuted in the 2006 European Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships in Greece.
The Slovakia national badminton team represents Slovakia in international badminton team competitions. The Slovakian team used to compete as part of Czechoslovakia. The national team was formed after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia in 1992 and after the formation of the Slovak Badminton Federation.
The Nepal national badminton team represents Nepal in international badminton team competitions. The Nepalese national team is controlled by the Nepal Badminton Association, the governing body for badminton in Nepal.
The Austria national badminton team represents Austria in international badminton team competitions and is controlled by the Austrian Badminton Association. Austria participated in the Sudirman Cup from 1989 until 2017.
The Portugal national badminton team represents Portugal in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Portuguese Badminton Federation, the governing body for badminton in Portugal. The Portuguese have never competed in the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup. The team last participated the Sudirman Cup in 2009.
The Argentina national badminton team represents Argentina in international badminton team competitions and is administered by Argentine Badminton Federation. Argentina competed in the Sudirman Cup three times in 1995, 1997 and 1999.
The Turkey national badminton team represents Turkey in international badminton team competitions. It is controlled by the Turkish Badminton Federation, the national organization for badminton in Turkey. The Turkey national team have never competed in the Thomas Cup and the Uber Cup.
The Seychelles national badminton team represents Seychelles in international badminton team competitions. The Seychellois team is controlled by the Seychelles Badminton Association. While badminton is not popular in Seychelles, the island nation has competed in the African Badminton Championships and have decent results over the years.
The New Caledonia national badminton team represents New Caledonia, an overseas collectivity of France, in international badminton team competitions. New Caledonia has competed in the Sudirman Cup once, which was in 2017, where the team was placed in Group 3A.
The Tahiti national badminton team represents French Polynesia, an overseas collectivity of France, in international badminton team competitions. The Tahitian team has competed in the Oceania Badminton Championships since 2014. The men's team achieved third place three times in the team tournament while the mixed team won bronze in the 2014 Oceania Badminton Championships.
