Lin Dan is a Chinese former professional badminton player. He is a two-time Olympic champion, five-time World champion, as well as a six-time All England champion.
Fu Haifeng is a former professional badminton player representing China. He is considered to be one of the greatest men's doubles players in badminton history.
The Sudirman Cup is the world mixed team badminton championship which takes place every two years. It is held in the same venue for the IBF World Championships in the same year until International Badminton Federation decided to split the two tournaments starting from 2003. There are five matches in every Sudirman Cup tie which consists of men and women's singles, men and women's doubles and mixed doubles. The cup is named after Dick Sudirman, a former Indonesian badminton player and the founder of the Badminton Association of Indonesia (PBSI). The first Sudirman Cup tournament took place in Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia on 24-29 May 1989.

Greysia Polii is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. Polii was a women's doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Asian Games and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. She also won three bronze medals at the World Championships in 2015, 2018 and 2019. Polii was a member of BWF Athletes' Commission to represent the needs and views of athletes to the BWF council and committees from 2013–2017.
Minarti Timur is a former Indonesian badminton player who is affiliated with PB Djarum since 1987.

She was also part of South Korean teams that won the 2010 Uber Cup, 2017 Sudirman Cup, as well the team event at the 2013 and 2015 Summer Universiade. She competed at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Asian Games, also at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Sung is married to compatriot men's singles player, Son Wan-ho.

Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is an Indonesian professional badminton player currently ranked world number 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He plays for PB Djarum, and has been a member of the club since 2007. He won the men's doubles titles at the All England Open in 2017 and 2018; World Superseries Finals in 2017; and at the Asian Games in 2018. He also featured in the Indonesia winning team at the Southeast Asian Games in 2015, and at the Asia Team Championships in 2018 and 2020. Together with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, they were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collecting seven Superseries titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.

The 1997 Asian Junior Badminton Championships is an Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. This tournament were held in Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Manila, Philippines from 7-13 April 1997.
Lee Yun-hwa is a South Korean badminton player. Born in Wonju, Gangwon province, Lee started playing badminton at aged nine. She educated at the Bukwon girls' middle school, after that in Yubong girls' high school. Lee joined the national team when she was 15 and trained at the Taeneung national training center. In the junior event, she competed at the Asian Junior Championships, winning a gold medal in the girls' team event in 2001, girls team silver and girls' doubles bronze medal in 2002. She also part of the national junior team that won the silver medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships. She made a debut at the Uber Cup in 2004, and captured the attention by her outstanding performance winning the singles and doubles event in the semi finals against Denmark. In the Sudirman Cup, she helped the team reaching in to the semi finals round in 2005 and 2007, clinched the bronze medal for the team. Lee who was affiliated with the Daekyo Noonoppi, helped the Korean team won the world women's team championships at the 2010 Uber Cup.
The 2021 Thomas & Uber Cup will be the 31st edition of the Thomas Cup and the 28th edition of the Uber Cup, the biennial international badminton championship contested by the men and women's national teams of the member associations of Badminton World Federation (BWF). The tournament will be hosted by Aarhus, Denmark.
The 1999 Badminton Asia Cup; officially called as JVC Asia Cup 1999 was the 2nd edition of the Badminton Asia Cup. It was held in Phan Đình Phùng indoor stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam from 10 November to 14 November with total prize money of 100,000 US Dollars. Tournament consisted of total of three matches in every team encounter, with format of Men's singles, Men's doubles and a second Men's singles match. Countries participated in this tournaments were Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand, South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam & China. Winning team & top seeded Indonesia got US$50,000 while runner-up Malaysian team got US$25,000. Third placed South Korean team got a total of US$15,000 and 4th ranked Chinese team bagged a total prize of US$10,000.
