Eti Lesmina Tantra (Chinese :蒂·坦蒂; pinyin :Dì·tǎn dì; born 14 October 1975), is an Indonesian badminton player of Chinese descent. She has represented Indonesia and the United States in international tournaments.

Career

Tantri who affiliate with Tangkas club, was selected to join the national team in 1993. She won her first title in 1997 India Open in the women's doubles partnered with Cynthia Tuwankotta. Together with Tuwankotta, she also won the 1997 French Open, becoming the first Indonesians to win a women's doubles title, [2] and at the 1997 Polish Open. Tantri and Tuwankotta were the bronze medalists at the 1997 and 1999 Asian Championships. She claimed the gold medal for the Indonesian women's team and women's doubles (with Tuwankotta) at the 1999 Southeast Asian Games. [1] Tantri competed in 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney with Tuwankotta as the eight seeds, but they were eliminated in the quarterfinals, defeated by Ge Fei and Gu Jun. [3] Partnered with Minarti Timur, she won the women's doubles silver medal at the 2000 Asian Championships. In the mixed doubles, she won the 1997 Polish Open with Flandy Limpele, also the 2002 and 2003 U.S Open with Tony Gunawan. She was part of the national team that won the bronze medal at the 2000 Uber Cup, also the silver and bronze medals at the 2001 and 1999 Sudirman Cup. [4]

Personal life

Tantri married Tony Gunawan, a 2000 Olympic Games men's doubles gold medalist, on the 29th of July 2002 at the Monte Carlo Chapel in Las Vegas. They have two sons, Christopher and Leon. [5]

Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with the Djarum club. She won the gold medal in the mixed doubles at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships, and in the women's doubles at the 2021 SEA Games. She also won the silver medal in the 2023 World Championships with Apriyani Rahayu.

Cynthia Tuwankotta is an Indonesian former badminton player who later represented Switzerland. Tuwankotta started playing badminton at aged six, and she won the junior title at her hometown Maluku when she was ten. She then selected to join Indonesia national team in 1994, and was part of the team for 6 years. In 2000, she moved to Switzerland and was part of the national team from 2000–2009. She reached a career high as world number 6 in the women's doubles world ranking. Tuwankotta competed for Indonesia at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's doubles event partnered with Etty Tantri. After retiring from the badminton tournament, she became a badminton coach in Switzerland and France, and also found a Tuwankotta's Badminton Coaches and Tour in Indonesia.

Mona Santoso is an Indonesian former badminton player, and later represented United States. Santoso was part of the Indonesia national team from 1998 to 2000. As a junior player, Santoso was the girls' singles champion at the 1998 Hong Kong Junior Championships, she also helped the Indonesian girls' team clinched the silver medal at the 1999 Asian Junior Championships, and the mixed team bronze medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships. Santoso won the women's doubles title at the 1999 Indonesian National Championships partnered with Vita Marissa. Santoso started her career as a badminton coach in Pola Bugar Club Jakarta from 2005 to 2006, and in 2006, she moved to Sunnyvale Community Center in Sunnyvale, California. Santoso then played for the United States, and won the U.S. National Championships title in 2008 and 2009.

Herry Iman Pierngadi is a badminton coach from Indonesia who is specialized in coaching men's doubles.
